Having dined here multiple times it was very disappointing to bring friends and have such a terrible experience with the service. We arrived at 6:30pm and ordered drinks when we were seated. We ordered our food shortly after that. We did not finish our meal until 9:00pm due to the delay in receiving our order.

We had a reservation, but it was clear the restaurant was not expecting us. They seemed confused when we said the name and time. There were 2 servers (with one other in training), for a full restaurant. The host (and owner) sat us at a table between two different groups, even though there were other tables. She also didn’t offer us any water and we were only had one table setting at the table. It took the server 15 minutes before he greeted us and took our drink order. One of the tables next to us had not even put in their drink order. Overall the food was delicious. However, the service was lacking! Our server was delightful, but for the price of the food, I would expect heightened service. At a minimum the owner/host helping their staff by offering waters, making sure tables had place settings, etc!!

Had reservation but waited 20 mins to get table when plenty were open, then 15 more mins for Waitress to take Order. Pho bowl was good but not $29 worrh. $19 hot sake, $15 beer….steep prices

Food was outstanding. Menu was so well crafted that it was really hard to decide what to order. Highly recommend!

We ate the best meal in Salt Lake City we've had in years this Friday night at SAOLA. I eat Thai food once a week at some great restaurants, but I've never had Thai food elevated to the level it was at SAOLA. We had mussel shooters, papaya shrimp salad, Kobe beef skewers, Peking duck, Thai iced tea, and 2 desserts. Everything was seasoned and spiced delicately. Well thought out menu that they don't just throw heat at to cover quality issues like some Thai places do. Extremely impressed, will be eating there more often and referring it to others.

The restaurant has a nice location with the mountains as a backdrop. The food is very tasty and service was great. We were only one of three tables there so there was no noise and food came out quickly. It is a bit pricey for the dinners so take that into consideration.

Thought they tried to do too many different types of cuisines. The food is expensive and the quality and taste didn’t match the price
