The whole experience was marvellous. Fantastic staff, so welcoming, fast service, delicious hot food, lovely wine, beautiful pictures, lovely ambience. Only thing was my chips were not freshly cooked. But we will definitely return, possibly as early as next week.

We had a great time at Santa Maria del Sur, the food was delicious, the staff were welcoming and the service was great, it has a pleasant ambiance and it was good value for money. We would highly recommend it.

Overall, I’d come back for the steak, wine & espresso martinis which are all exceptional, but the sides need refining.

We dined at Santa Maria on a Saturday evening. We had booked a table for two at 19:30. We arrived at 19:15 which wasn’t a problem. The friendly waitress showed us to our table straight away. I had the rib eye, my companion had sirloin, both cooked to perfection, medium. We shared the glazed carrots and broccoli, plenty for two of us and we shared a bottle of Malbec. I had cheesecake and my companion had lemon curd for desert. Both delicious. We were very busy chatting so didn’t leave until 22:30. At no point did we feel rushed. I had visited the restaurant approx 15 years ago and not much has changed. A really friendly atmosphere with a nice buzz of a local restaurant. I won’t be leaving it 15 years before I go back.

Super friendly young waiter and comforting rustic interior created a great atmosphere in which to enjoy our grill platter of wonderful meats and sausages accompanied by an excellent Argentinian wine.

What happened to the quality of your steaks? Changed your supplier? We ordered the mixed delux grill with fillet and sirloin, but it I feel something has changed. Our steaks also came out all chopped up where as previously they had been intact and glorious, have they now been chopped to disguise the fact that they aren’t as good as they were before ? Why change something that was already amazing?

The mixed deluxe grill is meant to offer a variety of cuts, and sometimes the presentation varies to ensure it’s served in the best way possible. Disappointingly was only offered the lunch menu rather than the full menu. No wonder it was so quiet.
