It was excellent, 5 star experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.

First, we had to sit in the basement, which is fine, but it was very cold down there. Our drinks took forever to get to our table. Soup was very good. Ordered the steak shrimp combo special. The steak came with no shrimp and It came out very undercooked. I sent it back and it came back out extremely rubbery and tough. Our waitress was very kind. She did her best to accommodate. I don’t blame the waitress for any of the food mishaps. The manager gave us a free dessert. Unfortunately we were very disappointed for the quality we received and the amount paid. Sadly we won’t be back.

Food and service were good and we will definitely be back. It’s hard to rate a restaurant on a major holiday like Valentine’s Day. I really like the variety of the menu.

My party was put in the basement which was real quiet and did not have the atmosphere of a supper club. The haystack onion rings were real good. The maple and crown royal old fashioned were pretty weak and water down tasting. I had the bone in rib eye and it was real fatty. My wife had the siricha bourbon salmon and it was inedible. It was very fishy tasting. The server was nice and brought out a birthday desert for our birthday person, but did not ask the rest of the table if we wanted desert. I am glad we tried it, but we will not be going back.

Ate here acouple years ago food and service was excellent. This time not so much service was good but food was nowhere near it was last time. For the money portions and quality was not even close, lukewarm potatoes and vegtables. Don't know if this was a off night but for what we paid not rolling the dice again.

First the positives, service was great, both the hostess and the waitstaff. We went around 6:30 pm on a Saturday, very busy at that time, but no wait for our table. Just a little noisy. Food: one entree was delicious, salmon served with a Caesar salad. I had the prime rib which was not good at all. It seemed the meat was over tenderized or ? It was actually mushy, not anywhere near what you would expect from a properly handled piece of beef. I ordered med. rare and it came out looking good. I was going to order the baked sea bass, a specialty on the menu, but when I asked the server if it was fresh, she replied that all of the fish come in frozen. For the prices they charge for the entrees, I would have thought fresh fish was a given. I have had their BBQ ribs in the past and they are excellent.

I wanted to introduce some friends to Sandra's and I made my Frederick reservation for 4 a week ago. I was surprised and disappointed to be seated in the lower level / basement even though I understood that it was a busy Friday night. If I had been instructed to come early to assure a table upstairs then I would have happily complied. My friends were diplomatic but I sure hope they are willing to return. If we were veteran guests the lower level Would have been fine but it was only our second time as we are newly relocated to the neighborhood.
