Salt Yard is an award-winning charcuterie bar and restaurant serving modern tapas inspired by the flavours and produce of Spain and Italy.

The tapas are complemented by charcuterie and cheese boards and we have a wide selection of excellent wines and sherries. Flexibility is key to Salt Yard. Customers can enjoy a full spread of tapas: or come in simply for a glass of red wine and a plate of cheese, a coffee and a delicious pudding, or even just a perfect martini and a handful of Marcona almonds.

Located in central London – a two minute walk from Goodge St tube station and a five minute walk from Oxford Circus – we are perfectly placed for a business lunch, a pre-theatre meal or a night out with friends.

This Valentine's week, experience a taste of the Mediterranean at Salt Yard with our Valentine's Head Chef's tasting menu, inspired by the flavours of Spain and Italy. This year, not only do you get a taste of the Southern European lifestyle, but you also have a chance to live the life yourself. Every table that prebooks the Valentine's Head Chef's tasting menu from 10th-16th February will be entered into a draw to win a romantic trip for two to Logrono, the historic capital of La Rioja, Spain. Indulge in dishes such as Chargrilled Cuttlefish, Gambas Pil Pil , Pan fried Duck, Poached Chorizo, Truffle Arancino, Basque Cheesecake. Head's chef tasting menu is subject to seasonal changes.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED FROM START TO FINISH!!! I took my wife for an anniversary meal. We wanted something not too formal (e.g Michelin Starred) but with good food, nice atmosphere and great service. We walked in and the manager who was behind the bar saw us but didn’t bother to acknowledge us and say hello as he was too busy showing a customer his tattoo. We were finally led downstairs by a waitress to be met by a table in the centre of the room with 20 VERY LOUD men who were swearing and shouting. It was like being in a grotty pub. When i expressed my concerns to the waitress, she said there not much she can do?!! When I pushed and said swearing is unacceptable, she got the manager who ask them to “quieten down a bit”… but they didn't and none of the staff did anything. The food was poor. Octopus was tough, duck and the lamb dishes were luke warm. The Malbec wine tasted like it had been open for weeks. When leaving nobody asked us how our meal was... It was pay and go. If they asked, I would have told them how bad it was! Nobody including the manager even said goodbye or even “happy anniversary” (i stated our anniversary on the booking). Couldn’t wait to leave. Will never go back!!!

Overall dissatisfied with our experience at Salt Yard. Service was mediocre at best, long wait to be initially served, no checking in from staff throughout the meal, generally dishes were below the quality expected. Shame as we have had fantastic meals at Salt Yard previously albeit it ~3years ago…..

First time to Salt Yard and it didn't disappoint. Booked quite last minute (from the Michelin Guide), we asked for a quiet, private table and we had a lovely table downstairs. The food is amazing - contemporary tapas with a great variety for meat & fish eaters, as well as vegetarian / vegan. The croquetas are to die for... i could have just eaten those alone! Great service from a friendly team and the food came out in a timely manner - sometimes with tapas it is too rushed but this meant we had a lovely evening and could enjoy each dish. Leave room for churros!!!

Whilst prices across the restaurant industry have rised in line with mounting overhead costs, we always ensure they compete with similar restaurants in the London area.
