This Valentine's week, experience a taste of the Mediterranean at Salt Yard Borough with our Valentine's Head Chef's tasting menu, inspired by the flavours of Spain and Italy. This year, not only do you get a taste of the Southern European lifestyle, but you also have a chance to live the life yourself. Every table that prebooks the Valentine's Head Chef's tasting menu from 10th-16th February will be entered into a draw to win a romantic trip for two to Logrono, the historic capital of La Rioja, Spain. Indulge in dishes such as Citrus cured sea bream, Pil Pil Prawns , Harissa Marinated Chicken Skewer, Chargrilled Iberico Presa, Beetroot Salad, Cauliflower steak . Head's chef tasting menu is subject to seasonal changes.

My first time at Salt Yard and I will definitely come back! The food was fabulous and the ambience very nice and relaxing. Staff is very welcoming and super friendly.

Everything was good, the only negative regarding the food was, the prawn pil pil dish, the prawns on the dish were not cleaned and had the intestinal tract still there which put me off eating them as I have to be cautious of seafood that hasn’t been cleaned properly

Super vibrant and busy for a Tuesday. Food was good and staff were trying their best, but service was slow and muddled. Needed a few extra staff on hand.

They forgot to bring our starters and then brought everything out together when it was clear the mains had been sitting on the pass for a while. There was no apology or recognition of the error. Previously I have had good experiences here but today was disappointing.

Lovely staff, food was mostly very good, overpriced for what it was (one small skewer of chicken for £15) but good. Veg dishes not as good as the meat dishes. As seems to be the norm in London, we were waiting for the bill forever only for the host to come tell us the next reservation had arrived, as if we were overstaying and not waiting for them to complete service. I’m fine with time limited reservations but the pace of service has to match.
