Had dinner here on Friday evening and it was a let down after reading so many positive reviews. The waitstaff is very nice as were the hostesses. But they are not very professional. The food was mixed. The beef stroganoff was floating in sauce and the kitchen put truffle oil all over the top. This was not shown on the menu and ruined the flavor. The braised short ribs were flavorful but had lots of fat. The bread with garlic was really good. The other dishes were just ok. We expected better service and better quality food and preparation and probably won’t be back.

Salt Creek Grille exceeded all my expectations. All the food was exceptional, fresh and creative. I enjoyed the most delicious and delicate crab cake I have ever had in CA! That is high praise coming from a woman living in Baltimore for 20 years! The service was personable and professional. I am not sure of the very nice gentleman’s name. He was instrumental in making the brunch enjoyable with his attentive nature. BRAVO!!!!!!

Front older hostess wasn’t friendly at all, never mind but I had to ask another person when our reservation seats are available. Menu was limited, overpriced for the portion and quality, steak was cold instead of raw even not sealed on the griller…. Not even enough fancy for the amount charged. Left good tip since the waitress did good her work. Not going back for sure.

Although it was New Year's Eve, we waited for about 30 minutes to be seated despite a 7:30 pm reservation. The server tried to be attentive but he seemed a bit stressed and service was slow. My tuna and asparagus were very good, but my husband had to fight to cut up the chicken he ordered. Our friend's husband experienced the same issue the the chicken, but she enjoyed her spinach salad with salmon. We never got the loaf of bread we ordered for the table to share. The waiter did take it off of our bill. The noise level was high. Again, it was New Year's Eve, but we had trouble when trying to converse. The prices are a bit high. We used to come here before it was closed and now reopened. Not sure we will return anytime soon.

We were sat over an hour after our reservation time. I had to go back to the front desk, and they told me they thought they sat us already. Then I ordered a steak medium well, and it came out rare. Send it back, and after 2 trips, it was well done. I'm not happy with any of it.

No valet parking on New Years was disappointing. Made reservations on Open Table and we were not seated for 35 minutes after our reservation. However, the food and service were good.

While I know it was New years eve, the half rack ribs were over cooked. Tough to chew, had to tell sever 3 times to refill my parents diet coke. The asparagus was cold. I have had excellent food in the past. So again maybe it was too busy. 🤔
