We have two private dining rooms that are the perfect place to host any event, from an intimate family gathering to a large company party. The Essex room is for more moderately sized parties, and can easily accommodate groups of up to 25 guests. The Miller room is for more substantially sized parties, and is able to accommodate groups of up to 40 guests. If neither room is sufficiently sized to hold your event on its own, the collapsible wall that separates them can be stowed away, and this extended space will accommodate up to 65 guests. The 80 inch HD TVs located behind sliding walls in each room are ideal for any presentation needs you may have. The food was exceptional! I love the hot plates they serve the food on, it really adds to the experience and keeps the food warm as you’re eating so it always feels fresh. The drinks were to die for and fairly strong! I loved the quiet ambiance of the restaurant! Would definitely go back

First time dining at Short Hills Rut Chris, but not my first time at a Ruth Chris. The experience was amazing from start to finish. We were seated in a dining room where we could host a quiet meeting. Jose and Maggie provided excellent service. The attention to detail and the professionalism was one of the best. The cuisine was nothing short of what I expected from Ruth Chris. Ruth Chris allowed our guest to experience a tremendous first time at Ruth Chris. My next time in New Jersey I will be dining at the Short Hills Ruth Chris!

Server seemed very overwhelmed and wasn’t attentive. Wasn’t the best of experiences at RC. Noise level was low which was a problem and com. You could hear everything at table beside you and visa versa. Wouldn’t come back to this location but would consider another.

I was able to have my birthday dinner here with a group of friends. I truly loved my experience here. My cowboy steak as well as mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly. My friends also enjoyed their meals. Our server was wonderful and she was nice enough to take a group picture of us. All of the staff made sure we were taken care of. I also loved getting my dessert on a platter that said "Happy birthday." Overall, I loved my birthday dinner and I will definitely recommend this location for special occasions.

Exceptional service. Steak cooked to perfection. Our waiter Giancarlo made sure we were satisfied with our meal & did not rush us.

Don’t book an 8pm reservation. They close at 8pm but still allow you to book. They called me at 7:10 to ask that our party of 8 arrive early for our 8pm reservation on Thanksgiving. We were told we would need to order immediately and that anyone who was running late would have to order via text or phone through someone seated. At 8:20pm they announced last call for the bar. They did not bring bread or butter to the table (which would have helped with the kids) even after we asked. It had probably already been tossed.

Excellent experience at Ruth Chris Short Hills for Thanksgiving dinner. Great service and excellent Thanksgiving menu. We enjoyed the meals, big portions with good traditional options. Excellent service and ambience too. Thank you!
