My wife and I shared the seafood pealla, which is as v ry good, but a little overcooked. That didn’t keep me from finishing the paella though:

Rustico is charming and the decor lives up to its name. I ordered a beet salad with salmon. I was hoping something better than what I make so that I could learn something new, but it was average. Presentation and taste could have been better. My colleague ordered the chicken piccata and pasta on the side. He felt the pasta was very salty. But he loved the bread pudding, which he felt was the best. I live downtown, so I'm used to those prices. But $50 (incl tax & tip) for my salad and 1 glass of wine, seems pricely for what it was.

Met with friends for late lunch. Nice quiet atmosphere with soothing music. Two of us ordered the short rib dinner and one ordered salmon. Portions were huge and meat was tender. Salmon done perfectly. For dessert we ordered cannoli and fig bread pudding. Both very good each came with a scoop of gelato. Ordered two regular coffees and wanted one decaf coffee. They did not have decaf nor decaf americano. It would be nice to have in the afternoon for those who can’t have caffeine. Overall experience very good and we will return.

The host greeted us and sat up promptly. The restaurant has a a nice atmosphere and worked well for my group. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and food and the price is reasonable. The floor was a bit slippery where we sat and by the restrooms. A few more nonslip mats/rugs would be useful. A couple people at my table felt the server could have been more thoughtful and attentive.

I love this place. I’ve been there twice, and both times I got the short ribs. They are fantastic. Tender and full of flavor, with mashed potatoes carrots and celery, and onion strings on top. I also had the Spanish tiramisu, which is very creamy. The first time it came with coconut gelato, the most recent was strawberry gelato. Service was great. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. There were 4 in our group. I did not get alcohol, but one other did and he liked his drink very much. We had a 3pm reservation so it was not crowded at all. I will be back but I swear I will try something else. Did I mention I love this place?

The food was amazing. Our party all went with entrees so we did not try tapas. The owner and staff were extremely attentive and accommodating.
