Rumi's Kitchen first opened more than a decade ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by Chef / Owner Ali Mesghali. Showcasing the flavors of Iran -- fresh herbs, kabobs cooked over an open-fire grill -- quickly won loyal guests at the original location in Sandy Springs, GA and set us on pace to open our first restaurant outside of Georgia in 2020. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet whose words and life teach us how to find inner peace, happiness and love. We invite you to Rumi’s Kitchen where fresh, healthy food and attentive Persian hospitality await you.

    Possibly the best meal I have had out in years! First I will start with our waiter Michael! Fantastic! knowledgable, patient, friendly and efficient. The drinks are a work of art they start you off with fresh pita and an assortment of goat cheese, radish and greens to make a “sandwich”. Delicious! I had the salmon which possibly was the best I ever had! They have several types of rice on the menu and it is no problem to switch any of them as your side. Additionally the portions are very large AND you can choose to swap your full side of rice for half rice and half salad which is what I did and was so happy with both! My friend chose three appetizers as her meal and loved them all. I highly recommend reservations. We had a 4:00 reservation for Saturday and they were packed and turning people away. Great find near the convention center!

    Rumi’s Kitchen blew me away. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and full of energy without feeling chaotic. The service? Flawless—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. And speaking of food… every single dish was a masterpiece. Bold, vibrant flavors, beautifully presented, and absolutely authentic. You can taste the care and tradition in every bite—from the grilled kabobs to the saffron rice to the fresh herb platter that felt like a warm hug from Persian hospitality itself. Rumi’s doesn’t just serve a meal—it gives you an experience. Easily one of the best dining moments I’ve had in years.
