The service was outstanding…we were greeted warmly upon arrival and seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive and friendly throughout our dining. The ambience was uninspired and the food was adequate. I was expecting more. I had the butterfish and my husband had the mahi-mahi. They were “ good”, not great.

Food was excellent as always. Had the early bird price fix menu and it was just the right amount of food with all my favorites!

Server messed up a few things on our order; it was made right, delicious main course and salad, but then they forgot the final course of my pre fixe order. The most important part, the desert. Had to take it in a box to go.

One of the best steaks I have had. Extremely tender and the sauce was superb. Extra creamy potatoes and fresh vegetables paired delightfully. Service was excellent as well. I highly recommend Roy’s Kaanapali.

Great food, service wasn’t bad. Or waitress was good and not so good. Sometimes she came to our table and was bothered then other times she was friendly and chipper. I was surprised the utensils were run of the mill silverware found in any cheap restaurant and plates were ordinary. No tablecloths or placemats. For a Zaggat rated restaurant with those prices, I would think the decor and tableware would be more than what you’d find at Denny’s. I’d go back, the food was great.

Roy’s has gone downhill since my visit last year. I am not the only one. We were there from 6:00 to 7:00. The place was half empty, although the Super Bowl may have had some effect. We have had difficulty getting reservations earlier than 8:00 at other restaurants. My wife had chicken on a pile of mashed potato’s. She left the potato’s. I had the honey glazed rib which had nice vegetables. There was more meat than I could eat. We shared a Caesar salad, which we both enjoyed.
