Rooftop in Walnut Creek offers a stunning view of Mt. Diablo while providing creatively prepared new American cuisine. Owners Jim and Jennifer Telford, along with partner and Executive Chef Justine Kelly offers guests a beautiful outdoor lounge for dining out with friends. Besides the picturesque surroundings that also showcases downtown Walnut Creek, Rooftop has a living wall with lush greenery and water features. Guests can feast on black cod wrapped in a banana leaf with pea shoots, lamb meatballs or other flavorful plates. Delicious desserts, fresh salads and bar bites will also satisfy the appetite. With mentions in publications like Diablo Magazine and California Home Design, Rooftop is a wonderful location for a business lunch or a romantic evening out with a date. It has a full bar and welcomes reservations.

Join us for a memorable weekend enjoy the best views of the city! For parties of more than eight guests, a food and beverage minimum spend of $80 per person is required. On Fridays and Saturdays, we can accommodate up to 12 guests per reservation. Please note that table dining times are limited to two hours. Many of our tables are high-tops with backless chairs; if this seating arrangement doesn’t work for your group, kindly request accommodations in advance. We offer a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. If you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late, please give us a call. Seating and location are subject to availability. A 20% service charge will be applied to your bill. We look forward to welcoming you!

Always a nice setting but extremely loud. The service was average at best and very slow moving, but the food was served at a reasonable timing. It was annoying in the beginning as we were told we had a 2-hours window due to private events. Perhaps, do not allow bookings if you are hosting private events. This was a turn off right away but made it work in the end.

We came in on a Saturday and made a reservation for two for a birthday. We arrived early and let the hostesses know that we will be OK to sit in the bar if they didn’t have a table ready. They took us to our table which was right within 1 foot of another two top in a the corner, We felt very uncomfortable and a little trapped. We were greeted promptly, this was our first time so we had many questions. The server was friendly, but did not offer suggestions freely. We ordered the pork belly, which was absolutely delicious. We wanted to order the calamari, but we told that there was no more. Which was kind of odd because we saw two calamari on our way out of the restaurant when we left. Anyway, for a second course, we ordered the scallops and the short ribs. The scallops were delicious , the short ribs tasted like they were reheated and were cold. We’re not usually the ones to complain, and also thought that the server seeing a full plate of food still left over would ask if everything was OK. We let her know our thoughts on the short rib and she was prompt to take it off the bill. We asked for a dessert menu Because it was a birthday. There was no communication between the host and the server because the server was unaware of the occasion, but did put a candle in the dessert we ordered a after she knew. All and all it was wasn’t the experience we anticipated.

I absolutely loved the rooftop. What impressed me was a minimal menu. We had a large group and all the food was worth the value. Not cheap, so the execution of each dish was outstanding. Highly recommend !

After being allowed to make reservations for dinner, all the tables around us were removed to get ready for there New Year’s Eve party and me and my guest were stuck in the middle of the floor eating in a empty floor space. The whole ordeal was very embarrassing.

Always a win! Food was perfect, and of course the drinks are unique, special and delcious. We went on New Year's eve and there was a set menu. This was not stated on Open Table when we made the reservations, but the choices were all yummy. The only reason I gave 4 stars for food is we had to ask if we could get a salad, not listed on the menu. Also, nothing was vegaterian friendly. Since we had not been told it was a set menu this could have been an issue.

Comfortable, and the right amount of attention. Nick was a great mix of patience and attentiveness. Food was high quality but not outstanding. That said, I'm going back the next time that I'm dealing with shopping marathoners. A great place to camp out
