We’ve had some inconsistent experiences at the River. Really enjoyed it when they first opened, awesome chicken wings app (large sized pieces), good clean food. Seemed like it went downhill after Covid, trouble finding good/experienced staff, food was disappointing. Our food was much better this time, burgers cooked as ordered, fries weren’t greasy/soggy, and our server seemed knowledgeable. Gripes: the salmon dish is underwhelming for the price, the rice that came with it was bland. Also the desserts were mediocre, cheesecake and mousse layer cake were cold and the cheesecake didn’t seem homemade. Overall, though, better than previous recent visits, and hopefully things are on the upswing!

Service was outstanding! Our servers were very responsive and the back-waiter was friendly too. Our Brussels sprouts were overdone. Food was not quite at the same level as Roots but our meals were good.

The restaurant kindly called and asked if we’d like to have a table inside due to rain. The kale salad and carrot cake were great!

Went from 4 to 6 people and the staff was very accommodating! Great service. Our waitress was efficient, kind, and fun!

My husband and I come here for our "dates". My father and some friends were in town. They are all picky! The River accommodated us and everyone left full and happy. 10/10 experience

What the heck? 7:30 dinner reservations out of the very popular Brussels sprouts then at 8:10 want a second drink get told the bar is closed. While the food was good the rest of it was not good sos much so we won’t be back.
