Located in an historic miner's cabin on Pearl Street, River and Woods serves Colorado Comfort Cuisine. The culinary team prepares whimsical interpretations of traditional comfort food and a carefully curated boutique bar program rounds out the River and Woods experience.     Although the food concepts were enticing, the execution was poor. The gravy in the biscuits and gravy was overly sweet and not at all savory. The burrata was unseasoned, the bread was cold and untoasted, and the pears were flavorless. The duck confit was mushy. The salad was so overdressed it was inedible. The kids Mac and cheese was half eaten and my kids love Mac and cheese. Menu planning was excellent but the actual execution of the dishes was disappointing

    Great experience! All the staff was spot on attentive and the chef was mixing with all the patrons. Great food, great experience, and great people. It doesn’t get much better.

    We had a very nice time with our friends at River and Woods. We started with the burrata bread and pears appetizer, which was very good, as were the cocktails. Our friends had the board (charcuterie) and wine, which was a very nice deal. We were there for happy hour and had burgers and ribs, and fried polenta sticks. The food was very tasty, and the service was very nice. We plan to go again!

    The service was great. We sat in the forest room, which was quaint, warm and quiet in December. The food was good, but not great. It was overpriced for what we got.

    Great dinner! We were celebrating our 34th anniversary. Gabbi was our server and was amazing. Great dinner suggestions and attention to detail. Next time in Boulder we will come back!

    Our brunch experience was not a great one. The eggs were greasy, the mushroom schnitzel tasted like it had been frozen and reheated ,the toast was served cold. We had also reserved a table in the forest room but were instead seated in the noisy main room of the restaurant. I think there are better brunch experiences to be had in Boulder.
