   Visited on Saturday after seeing multiple “influencers” on TikTok going to the launch. Food was good. Service was extremely poor, clear teething issues since opening. Ordered drinks and then food, food arrived before any of our drinks and had to ask for a tap water. No frozen cocktails available despite being on the menu. Had to ask for the bill 3 times. Music was so loud, could barely hear each other. We were sat up stairs and that also could have affected the service. Staff need more training, all seemed inexperienced. Wouldn’t rush back.

   Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Portion sizes were great. Music was wonderful too. Would definitely return. It’s not a fast food restaurant so I’m not sure why others are complaining about slow service. It’s a tapas bar.

   First time at Rioja hope st, table booked to avoid disappointment table not ready waited at bar and waited, had to ask for service, waitress returned to say we could only have a small table in the corner apologises for inconvenience said we will make it up to you ( she didn’t) sat with menus for ten minutes had to ask for our order to be taken, food arrived and was very good, portions were a good size. The restaurant is upstairs, small and gets very warm, could become claustrophobic in the summer. No tip this, must do better. Geo M

   Service was incredibly slow and had to ask for the bill about 5 times.
