Richardson's Tavern has been a comfortable haven for American travelers since 1793.
Our cuisine is thoughtfully sourced throughout Vermont.
During the summer growing season we feature fresh produce from our very own 3 acre organic certified Kelly Way Gardens right down Route 106.
The essence of Vermont and flavor-driven plates are paired with a bar featuring local craft brews, hand crafted cocktails, and a wide range of wines by the glass, half bottle, and bottle.
A relaxed atmosphere invites warm conversation and friendly company among friends and family. Dine al fresco on the porch in the warmer months or sink into the oversized lounge chairs fireside for a casual drink or meal.

We had a special dinner at the tavern. It is a warm and inviting space. The food is quite good. My wife and I both started with the excellent clam chowder. Warning: it is very filling! I had the tacos which were unusual and good, but not as good as the hangar steak my wife had! Alas, we did not have room for dessert. I’m sure we will return.

Great food but service was too slow between courses. And server didn’t ask how our food was or if we needed another drink.

Everything was good except the food. Pasta tasted like Ragu and the salmon entree tasted like the fish had been frozen for a long period of time with a funky tasting sauce on top.

We love the ambiance of this tavern. Staff are very attentive and food is great. A small menu but varied to all tastes. Aye here Twice during our stay at the Woodstock inn

The service was outstanding. The staff well trained. The drinks were good value. Since we stayed at the hotel all week it would have been beneficial to have a more varied menu. The menu was the same for both restaurants all week. The dinner salad was fresh and the greens were very good. There should have been more vegetables like sliced onions, roasted nuts, cukes or small tomatoes as an example in the salad.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. We were seated near the fireplace which is what I requested when I made the reservation. Unfortunately our table and chairs were all metal, no cushions or table cloth. This being January the whole ambiance was very cold.
