What a massive missed opportunity!! Who was advising the layout of this restaurant? No bar, no gathering place, dispersing you at every opportunity?! Ugh, what a let down. Once the newness has worn off, this place will be nothing but a store… and a boring one at that. Read the room, this is Newport Beach. People want vibe, lighting, a reason to come together Mon-Friday. It’s not all birthdays and anniversaries. People want a place to lunch and enjoy the view… all week long! If all you want is special events, congrats, that’s all you’ll get. Not coming here unless people plan some kind of special event. So bummed.

Service was horrible! Our second time. First time the service was amazing. I swear our waitress today was scared to talk to people. She purposefully avoided us.

Dear RH - I had such high hopes as I refused to visit any VIP festivities until I had a smoking hot chick to bring. I decided last night I was ready to embark on a content journey of a lifetime. Unfortunately, RH Ocean Grill missed the mark. I don’t want to go into too much detail so I’ll leave some stuff out for negative memories and focus on what matters. The food was brutal. The speed of food service was too fast which made the food lack taste and made me feel like a covers statistic. Turn-n-burn to hit numbers. This isn’t Squid Games! The seafood tasted like rubber. The Hamburger was way too raw. And the truffle fries came out for desert instead of an appetizer. They said they sent the fries to the wrong table twice. They were so cold an soggy, they should have just added them to the seafood tower. Also, I was annoyed that the lights and heat lamps were on a timer so every 30 minutes I had to push a button to turn it back on. It was like a hotel bubbles hot tub situation. Long story short. RH needs to stick to furniture. And I’m not trying to be mean, I’m being super honest. I will not be going back for the food no matter how hot the chick is that asks me out.

The Caesar salad was nice but not great. The truffle fries were good except they came out cold The buratta appetizer was excellent.

Still a few hiccups to work out. they were turning people away at lunch when there was more than 20 tables open.

We have been twice since it opened it. The food and ambiance are lovely. The service has been mediocre both times but believe this is due to it being so new and needing to work out the kinks.

The ambiance is amazing, architecture is unmatched, and service was great. I got the seafood tower 👍🏽, kale Caesar 👍🏽, truffles fries 👎🏽 (was not hot & expensive) and primerib dip 👎🏽. It was our bdays and host completely forgot to celebrate us (if they even do any celebrations). Was disappointed about that. And was sat in the far corner of the restaurant even though there were open tables in the middle of restaurant. It felt secluded (which isn’t terrible) but would’ve liked to be in the middle of it all. Was surprised to find out they only serve wine and beer and wine-based cocktails (4 total). Would I come again? Yes for the seafood tower and kale Caesar.
