Repeal is Whiskey Row’s only oak-fired steakhouse, located at the birthplace of J.T.S. Brown & Sons Bourbon Company in Louisville. A stylish departure from a traditional steakhouse, Repeal uses a wood-fired grill stoked daily with reclaimed American Oak bourbon barrels. Repeal is a tribute to the Repeal of Prohibition – a place to see, be seen and celebrate the rich tradition of the building in which it resides.

Now serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

We have always done dinner at this amazing restaurant. Today was our first brunch. I would have to say , they continue to amaze us. The blue crab omelette was out of this world amazing. The thick cut bacon was something that could be a dish by itself. The wife got the French dip sub. The beef was perfect, the dip was on point . The horseradish dip was fire 🔥. The hand cut fries were perfectly salted and crisp. Once again blown away by this restaurant ability to provide amazing experience and food.

Food was amazing, as usual. We enjoyed the cozy nature of the terrace that is heated. Service was great. It was especially nice that there was a bar upstairs also, so we did not have to wait too long for our drinks.

Couples early Valentine Dinner: Service was outstanding, greeted with a smile, explanation of the full menu and personal recommendations for the couple who were there for the first time. We gave our full order and everything was timed perfectly. Food was on point and cooked to perfection as usual. “The kitchen makes the servers job easy”. We will all be back!

We had a marvelous time from the moment we arrived. Valet parking available, checked in just a few minutes wait and we were seated. The entire staff here was accommodating and the food is better than first class. This is a must return soon!

Repeal is one of our favorite steakhouses. Our food was excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked, sides were perfectly delicious and dessert was the best. We will definitely return!

What a lovely dinner! Our server Mikaela was very knowledgeable and attentive. I ordered the Repeal signature old fashioned to start and it was great! The filet was so tender and cooked perfectly. We shared a few sides (mushrooms, onion rings, potatoes) and they were delicious. For dessert, we had the Jefferson’s bread pudding. One of the best meals I have had in town. This was the perfect birthday celebration!
