We're happy to serve the Downtown Navasota Railroad District. Red Board Tavern & Table is led by Executive Chef Craig Schmidt, a Northern Californian who went on to acquire a Culinary Arts Degree from San Joaquin Delta College. Then, Chef Craig added additional degrees in Baking and Pastry at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Chef's many years of expertise has aided in his selection of food pairings for our guests to enjoy.

Pretty good Restaurant for Navasota Texas. Nice wine list, although a little pricey. Food very good and pretty good value. The Duck and the Pork are good choices.

It was great! Service was super and food was very good. Will definitely go back. We went for brunch and now want to go for dinner.

We had a delicious chilean bass dish last night. The food was exquisite and Chef Craig made sure that ours did not contain the shellfish we cannot eat. He is always acommodating special food requests. He is a wonderful chef and the food was delicious but the service was not up to the standards of an expensive restaurant There were too few servers and our poor server was simulutaneously the bartender...an impossible double role to handle This wonderful restaurant needs more servers or it will lose customers .

The food was nice, the server was also the bartender, so she had her hands full. We had a nice evening and will return.

Ruthie was wonderful, and did her best to provide excellent service. The reason for the 4-star Value rating is that for a $48 ribeye, which, while we appreciated having the option of ordering it at lunch, it would have been stellar to have had a baked potato with it instead of house potato chips and/or steak fries. Apparently, baked potatoes are an option at dinner. I apologize for my candor, but..."ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies."

Cocktail s and food were okay. We decided not to be too critical of each because taste varies. We were fine to chalk it up to just not our thing until... Desert was taking quite a long while. We weren't that excited about anything on the menu anyway so asked to just cancel the cobbler that isn't made to prefer- just scoop hit the microwave for 30 seconds and serve. When our waitress went back to counter she made the comment put it in to go "they're mad at me." First, we are both hard of hearing so I'm sure others heard the comment. Second, we were very polite throughout dinner (and not in a passive aggressive manner). Finally, we weren't rude when asking for the check. Frankly, I'm surprised at how rude she was and even then she received a tip she didn't deserve after her unprofessional behavior. We tried to find an email directly to the restaurant so voice our frustration directly. Since we didn't find one , I'm posting here. Our bill was ~$200 which included tip so needless to say, we won't be returning.

Charming restaurant in charming area of Navasota. Food and drinks were perfection. Bartender really "knew his stuff." Loved, loved, loved the deviled egg trio appetizer. Also loved, loved, loved the gazpacho. Can't wait to go back and try some other tempting items on the menu.
