   It was a very busy place when we arrived and took a few minutes to get seated (we had a reservation thankfully!) our service was outstanding… despite issues with their order entry system the server took his time and made jokes and checked in often. We had a very yummy breakfast (get the hashbrowns!!!) and enjoyed our time there. Looking forward to our next visit!

   🙃Just stopped at this place for a dinner...and asked by my smart phone this morning to place a review here.. The available space and layout allows for a limited ambience experience, so no hard feelings...You get the best feel of this place if you get seating around the bar, but that area offers mostly table for 2...I was not able to explore fully this dining place, but there might be another area at the back of this restaurant, possibly a party room. 🍴🍷 Food was a 'hit and miss' kind of thing. First, the portions are relatively small, more like appetizer size plates. The biggest disappointment was the red beet salad, followed by not exactly well seasoned and prepared lamb shank. The lasagna was OK, but for those used to the more original Italian flavors, even this plate will leave them with desiring more. The pork dish they call a ‘trio of pork’ was again just fine, but the quality of the pork cuts were not premium and the bean base was more of a “canned beans” nature than a chef’s prepared seasoned bean base. ?! If people around the table compliment most a simple, yet colorful plate covered with spreaded olive oil mixed with chives, parsley, honey, crashed red chilli pepper seeds and a whipped feta cheese served with grilled pieces of baguette…that might paint the picture of our experience on it’s own?! 🙂Our table was served well….with very good attention to details….thank you for that…so we were served well, but the presented food need some work IMHO. The noise level was low enough to have a good conversation at the table at the time of our dinner. I would like to thank the person who served our table. He was the reason we left satisfied even though the served food was a ‘hit- and- miss’ for us.🤔

   The appetizers were excellent! So flavourful with unique sauces. Broccoli dish was yummy as well. We were quite happy until the entrees. Mains were underwhelming and extremely small portions. I had the trout which was dry and only saved by dipping it in the sauce of the seafood dish. It was a seafood ravioli and while it was quite tasty the raviolis were starchy. A one time experience for me

   I’ve been meaning to check rapscallion for quite a while now… and I’m so glad I finally got to try it. The atmosphere was so great, one of the coolest interiors in a restaurant I’ve seen in Hamilton. Fantastic vibe and great choice of music. The service was nothing short of exceptional. Our server was excellent, she got us everything we needed with a smile on her face and was super easy to talk to. All the other staff checked on us as well and everyone that did was awesome, great attitude and great service…. Finally… the food, the presentation was exquisite, and the taste of each dish was phenomenal. Mouth watering. I will 100% be coming back, I’ll be telling my friends to try it out too. Well done rapscallion, and thank you for an incredible dining experience.

   Nice overall vibe. Went for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lobster and shrimp capaletti was amazing, so was the fillet mignon, so much flavour it was amazing. and the drinks were so tasty and refreshing. loved the overall selections.

   Amazing food, one of my favourite dining experiences I’ve had. Love the ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone asking. Side note: I believe one of my guests notified the restaurant that it was my birthday and to offer a cake. Unfortunately, this did not happen. Very thankful for the card though! I will be returning for a 5th time :)

    While our overall dining experience was pleasant, the food itself was somewhat underwhelming. However, we would absolutely return for the calamari and the espresso martini—just be sure to request freshly brewed espresso, as the standard preparation uses instant. The calamari was beautifully seasoned with just the right amount of heat, complemented by delicious pickled peppers and sauces. Given such a strong start, we had high expectations for the courses that followed, but they fell a bit short. The filet was cooked to perfection but lacked depth of flavor, and the addition of potato chips on the sliced steak felt unnecessary. My partner’s shrimp and lobster campanelle pasta was enjoyable but did not leave a lasting impression. That said, the service was truly exceptional. Morgan, our server, was outstanding, and the seamless teamwork among the staff elevated the experience. While the food had its highs and lows, the impeccable service and standout appetizers ensure we will return.
