We are excited to welcome you to Rania, DC's hottest destination for modern Indian food. Tom Sietsema has called our food "some of the most inspired Indian cooking in DC." At Rania, we offer homage to the time-honored traditions, rich flavors, and spices of India in an intimate, luxurious setting. We look forward to sharing our vision with you!

Presenting sophisticated, highly acclaimed 4-course prix-fixe menu, with an upcoming debut of our chef's tasting menu.

Policies:
-Dress Code: Smart Business Casual. No shorts, athletic wear, or baseball caps are allowed.
-Children under 10 are not allowed in the main dining areas.
-Reservations are available for parties of up to 6 people.
- A non-refundable deposit of $30 per person is required for parties larger than 5.
-A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties 5 or more.

Went here for my husbands birthday and I must say the service was excellent. The food was amazing. Can wait to go back and try the chef choices this time.

Food was delicious! We did the four course menu and every dish was excellent. The service was a bit lacking. I’m a bit surprised this is a Michelin star restaurant based on the service. Our waiter wasn’t particularly friendly and the front door was stuck for every guest trying to enter. The cocktails were ok and felt gimmicky. The Sahara cocktail with a train and mini Christmas trees was a head scratcher.

The best dining out experience we've had in the last 3 to 4 years! The tasting menu delivered delightful surprises with each plate. While the presentation was visually appealing, the taste was even better. The wine pairing was spot on and generous. This experience ran circles around our recent visit to Jont. We will definitely be back soon!

The 4 course price fixe menu has some surprises. They do give you something extra like daal, breads and rice. That is actually a very nice touch. The food is great, the service attentive. The main dining room is fully enclosed and it needs windows. All in all a great experience but not good value for money.

Food was presented well for slme dishes . Flavor missing in some dishes. Being a Michelin star we expected better flavors. Food quality was on spot. Overall a decent experience!

Although the meals are a little pricey, the ambiance and the staff are super. They have plenty of staff that move through the restaurant in a precise choreographic manner, with great attention paid to the customers. No one is standing around and everyone has their unique assignments. Edgar, our wait staff was exceptional, thoroughly explaining the different dish options and very knowledgable about the wine pairings. The food is excellent along with the wine pairings. There is a choice between a four and seven-course meal. While they say each course is small, it is still quite a lot of food. We barely got through the four-course meal. The wine pairings were also very good and well-matched with each course. They told us that they pour 2 ounces of wine per course, but it is a very generous 2 ounces. And definitely do not miss the desserts. They are light and exceptionally delicious. Excellent place for an intimate date or special occasion with your spouse. Highly recommend it.
