Al restaurante Quod se accede desde High Street a través de un vestíbulo acristalado y cuenta con terraza y bar. Forma parte del Old Bank Hotel. Este antiguo banco fue transformado por su propietario, Jeremy Mogford, para convertirse en el restaurante más grande y de mayor éxito de Oxford. El diseño elegante y contemporáneo describe un espacio que alberga una impresionante colección de arte británico joven. Sandra Blow, Craigie Aitchinson y Gary Hume adornan las paredes.     Quod has two private dining rooms, the Red Room, which seats up to 30 people & the Gallery, which seats up to 54 people.

    Quod and the Old Bank Hotel have a large secure private car park and is accessed via an automated barrier. Priority is given to hotel guests though spaces are readily available throughout the weekdays.

    Coaches and trains provide regular services to and from destinations across the UK and there is a direct coach service to London every nine minutes. Coach stops are a couple of minutes walk along the High Street and Oxford Train Station is around 20 minutes walk away.

    Take part in the most traditional English pastime of afternoon tea in the heart of Oxford. With its large windows looking onto the famous colleges, Quod is the perfect stopping point during a walk of the city. Enjoy classic egg & cress or ham and mustard sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of champagne. In the summer months tea can be taken on our recently refurbished Italian garden terrace.

    Our waiter was not very engaging and spent as little time as possible at our table, in fact we had experience of 2 other waiters and they also seemed distracted and unfocused. The restaurant is one of our favourites in Oxford city centre and 'service and hospitality' is such an important part of that, but it was lacking this Sunday lunch. My wife and I ordered Roast beef with all the trimmings but when the plate arrived there was no Yorkshire Pudding (which we'd seen on other tables, it was a very large one), the waiter said nothing and was about to walk away when I asked it's whereabouts. He said he'd check with the kitchen and after a while came back to say they had sold out, at which point I suggested it might have been a good idea to tell us in advance, he agreed but said the kitchen did not let them know...although this was the same waiter who'd carried a plate to us with a very large Yorkshire pudding missing. We still enjoyed a very well cooked Sunday lunch with perfectly pink beef and everything on the plate was cooked well. They offered some free dessert which we declined, but they did remove the first round of drinks. Hospitality training needed overall.

    Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the Sunday lunch, however I'm disappointed to hear that the service did not meet our usual high standards. It should have been communicated to you in timely manner that we can't offer Yorkshire pudding at that time, and it should have been acknowledged when your plates were delivered, so please kindly accept my sincere apologies. We have taken your feedback about the service onboard, and we have discussed it with the team. I do hope that this will not stop you from visiting us again. We hope we can welcome you back soon.
