Al restaurante Quod se accede desde High Street a través de un vestíbulo acristalado y cuenta con terraza y bar. Forma parte del Old Bank Hotel. Este antiguo banco fue transformado por su propietario, Jeremy Mogford, para convertirse en el restaurante más grande y de mayor éxito de Oxford. El diseño elegante y contemporáneo describe un espacio que alberga una impresionante colección de arte británico joven. Sandra Blow, Craigie Aitchinson y Gary Hume adornan las paredes. Hay una espectacular terraza climatizada donde los clientes pueden disfrutar de un café por la mañana, de un increíble almuerzo de 2 tiempos o de un coctel.

Take part in the most traditional English pastime of afternoon tea in the heart of Oxford. With its large windows looking onto the famous colleges, Quod is the perfect stopping point during a walk of the city. Enjoy classic egg & cress or ham and mustard sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of champagne. In the summer months tea can be taken on our recently refurbished Italian garden terrace.

We loved every minute., However a fixed 13:5% service charge seems too much.

Reserved a table - my favourite (402). Turned-up, and, because they had a better booking, I was relegated to another table with my guest. Surely, when a regular requests a table well in advance, Quod should honour that booking? To turn up, and to expect the table that one has booked, and then to be turned away is unacceptable. If I had have been forewarned, I would have booked elsewhere.

Many thanks for your feedback. I am sorry to hear we were unable to accommodate you on your usual table. As a restaurant we endeavour to meet our guests every request. Unfortunately this is not always possible as we have to accommodate parties of various sizes and sometimes requests for the same table. Disappointing. Been eating at Quod for years, usually a good experience. Standards are falling and prices are rising. took a long time to get service though the order once placed, came reasonably quickly. My order came minus 2 significant elements which had to be brought on the side. the chicken liver parfait was tasteless, which salt could not improve and the pizzetta unexciting and the flavour dull. Charges are now high, but further, the service charge is 13.5% which is difficult to refuse - this is too high for an overall cover charge. Unless I hear of real improvement i won't go again.

My son sprecifically requested Quod for his 15th birthday lunch, and it did not disappoint. Full marks.

Quod never disappoints. Our food was delicious, the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the food. A special mention to manager Joe Brown who as always was ultra efficient and delightful. Even a little birthday treat was produced for one of our party. Our request to be seated towards the back of the room was immediately accommodated. Looking forward to our next visit.

Excellent set lunch menu - food was all very good quality. Lovely atmosphere. Not impressed to be automatically charged 13% service though so for that reason would not automatically recommend to others.
