   Tonight was first for me. I finally tried the Branzino fish for dinner. I was NOT disappointed! Chef Chris cooked it so perfectly and that's not something many restaurants do! My fish was moist and bursting with flavors of lemon and capers with a little bit of salt and pepper. It was incredible! I got a whole fish for a great price and Chef Chris even made sure to accommodate the low sodium needs of one of the other members of my party! I brought two teenagers with me this evening to try the pasta and even they liked their food((they are teenagers so they are picky) . One of them had questions about the different wines and the costs and Chef graciously took his time to answer their questions. They are already begging me to take them back there for the pizza lunch!

   Quality Foods Market always offers up an unbelievable restaurant experience. Chef Chris personally provides a huge part of the service experience, while also preparing all of the food. Both the food and service are executed to perfection, and I don't think there is a better restaurant in Tampa. We went with the grilled branzino and gnocchi. OMG both were amazing. The branzino had crispy skin that was SO GOOD! The fish itself was flaky and buttery moist and the lemon caper sauce on top was to die for. The gnocchi was nothing short of perfection. Rich and creamy with lots of truffle! We even had the privilege of spending time with Chef Chris at the end of the night, where he sat with our table for 30 minutes, enjoying a glass of wine and giving us some travel advice since since we are going to Italy later this year.

   The cab from South Africa was awesome! We got the spicy Italian sausage pasta delish and Bolognese.

   Quality Foods Market is the perfect date night and special occasion restaurant. The dining room is small and even when every table is full it still feels intimate. It was our anniversary and we've done all the big fancy schmancy restaurants around Tampa Bay and have had nice meals, but Chef Chris made us feel so special and thanked us for sharing our special day with him making us feel welcomed and not just spewing some server script. It was our first time trying caviar and we loved it and since we already went all all in on the caviar we ordered a half dozen raw oysters and half dozen oysters rockefeller. Both were amazing. We saw another table with the veal special for two and that's what the hubs wanted, but I wanted the ribeye so we got both and ended up with a lot of leftovers! Both meals were incredible. The veal fell off the bone and was super tender and the sauce was addictive. I had the truffle butter with the ribeye and it is the best steak anywhere. We don't really know much about wine but we wanted to have some with dinner but not break the bank since we were going all out on the dinner, and Chef Chris was super nice about it and suggested two bottles, one white for the appetizers and one red for dinner and both were perfect, and both bottles were only $45 each! The whole experience was memorable and we will be spending our future anniversaries at Quality Foods Market, and probably every other special occasion dinner too.

   We love eating at Quality Foods Market. We have never been rushed and are always treated to first class food and service. Chef Chris and his staff are welcoming and make us feel at home. The menu changes frequently and we always try and have something different. We did the ossobuco special and it was the most tender veal one could imagine and the sauce was spectacular.

   Quality Foods Market is my must go to restaurant when I am in Tampa. I visit from New York often, and we have our own great Italian restaurants, but Chef Chris puts together an authentic menu that is above and beyond anything at home. A meal at Quality Foods Market is like having a meal just about anywhere in Italy.

   Food was amazing, Chef Chris never disappoints. The special was out of this world. Wine suggestions are always on point.

   A+ from start to finish. The caviar service was a nice surprise and a great way to start the meal. For decades, if veal osso buco was on the menu, I've ordered it, and the special was osso buco, and it was by far the best I've ever had. The meat fell off the bone, and the sauce was amazing.

    We are huge fans of Quality Foods and last night was no exception. Chef Chris posted on the QFM Facebook page that the special was Osso Buco for two, prompting me to immediately book a reservation. The Osso Buco came with two house salads (the best anywhere, in my opinion) and saffron risotto. It was fork tender and extremely flavorful. Luckily, I didn’t have to fight my husband for the bone marrow as it was delectable. Chef Chris recommended a wonderful bottle of wine to accompany our meal that was not only perfect, but extremely reasonable. Our love for QFM has not diminished…it’s still one of the best kept secrets in the Tampa Bay Area.
