A MELBOURNE INSTITUTION
Established in 1995, Punch Lane is a Melbourne dining icon and a pioneer amongst its laneway counterparts.
Punch Lane is a cosy and inclusive Wine Bar and restaurant, which prides itself on serving delicious food from a seasonal menu, mouth-watering cheeses from an eclectic selection, matched with exceptional wine and service.
Our kitchen team, headed up by Nuno Gabriel, have created a seasonal menu showcasing local produce. We are currently offering a 2 hour dinner sitting for all early reservations prior to 7pm in our dining space with drinks and bar snacks available from 3pm - 5pm Tuesday to Sunday. Dinner service commences at 5pm Tuesday - Sunday. Lunch from 12pm - 3pm, Tuesday - Friday.
Please note Sunday surcharge of 10% and Public holiday surcharge of 15%

Excellent pre theatre dinner. Very good service from the whole team and fast so we had plenty of time to get to the theatre. We had the mains duck and gnocchi with green beans. The meals were excellent. This will be our go-to pre theatre restaurant.

Walked in - first time - for lunch and felt comfortable straight away. Old style comfortable decor , friendly knowledgeable staff, great wine list and really fabulous food. What more could you want ?

Quality food from an interesting menu, extensive wines list and wines by the glass. Friendly and warm service from all those who we dealt with. Ready to have a chat if engaged. Great music track very much enjoyed by the "oldies".

After our first experience here, a recent magnificent Christmas lunch, we were keen to return and we were not disappointed. The food is delicious and the menu is very easy to adapt to a grazing/sharing style. The music play list was hand picked and had a nearby table also trying to guess the artist or band. Lighting, ambience and staff were all great. I can see why they are celebrating 30 years in business. We’ll definitely return! Thanks!
