As the name suggests, P.S. Steak was established to continue the story of the historic space that was once famed La Belle Vie. As Chef Mike DeCamp spent 10 years at the former French restaurant, this will be his homecoming and opportunity to write his own chapter for the space. P.S. Steak disrupts the perceptions of a typical steakhouse while honoring the legacy of one of the great culinary foundations in the Twin Cities.
The restaurant features an elevated yet accessible seasonal menu, along with a variety of cuts of meat, dry aged in a display case.
The lounge has been given a modern makeover with chic furniture and marble table tops. A selection of living floor plants divides tables to create intimate seating. Bringing warmth to the room, the bar and adjacent fireplace keeps guests cozied up to a menu of progressive cocktails.

    This was my first time dining here for my birthday. Service was great. It was a group of 8 everyone food came out cold. The manager gave us a round drinks, however each group spent over200 food being cold is a complete turn off.

    Overall good experience, disappointed in the cocktails and the overall price of Everything. Many places with just as good of steaks for a far better value. Also, $30 dollar retail bottle of wine selling for $120? Come that is dumb. Wouldn’t take OpenTable GC either. Will probably pass on this place next time. Sad

    We have been to PS Steak before and decided to go again for our double birthday celebration. While the service was good the food was not as I remembered it I started with the house old fashion cocktail. While it was good the overall size of the drink was questionable ie the glass contained a giant ice cube and hardly any drink. For $18 is was definitely overpriced. I had the Denver steak which I heard so much about. My server told me it was her favorite, not overall fatty or chewy. Disappointed to say the least. I found it chewy even though I ordered it medium rare The French fries and the special sauces ordered was nothing special though loved the hash browns. My husband did enjoy his ribeye even though, the server told us they couldn’t cook it between rare and medium rare per his request. For a high end steak house I would have hoped the chef could accommodate such a request. Disappointing! Been to other high end steak houses and this was not a problem. Overall, not sure I would go back as I found it way too pricey for the overall quality.

    It is a great restaurant. Service is exemplary. The food is great. Reasonable prices for a steak house. We like this place. A memorable night.

    Fantastic food and service. From salad/appetizer to entree (rib eye and salad) to dessert all was delicious. The fairly priced wine was also outstanding! Finally, the service easily equaled the food!

    This was our second time dining here, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. The dining room is gorgeous and you don’t have to shout to hold a conversation. It’s romantic and classy and we appreciate the attentive service. And of course, the steaks! I tried the trio this time, and the chef’s choice was my favorite. Valet parking and coat check are nice touches too.

    Both steaks that were ordered were unfortunately tough and overcooked, lacking the tenderness and flavor that one would expect. It was clear that the steaks had been cooked well past the ideal temperature, which made it almost difficult to chew. It's not desirable, especially for the price. As for the hashbrowns, they were equally underwhelming. Instead of being crispy and golden, they were hard and lacked any sort of flavor. It seemed like they had been sitting around for too long, making them unappetizing and far from fresh. Overall, the quality of the food was a letdown. I expect better for the price. The drinks were nothing specialneithereven after recommendations. The place is beautiful even though they close early, including two bars.
