Prelude Kitchen & Bar is Restaurant located in Downtown Sacramento that serves Modern American, Farm to Fork cuisine. Our Chefs work directly with local Sacramento Farmers to source local ingredients for each dish. We believe food and dining is more than sustenance, it's a connection between guests, chefs, farmers, and the nature that surrounds us. Our menu is crafted from scratch, ensuring that every bite resonates with exceptional taste, genuine flavor, and fine dining quality. Prelude Kitchen & Bar is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Sacramento next to the Crest Theater, Golden One Center, State Capitol, SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and Performing Arts Center. It was our wedding anniversary and it did feel special. Erica was a very attentive server in just the right way. It was our first time coming. We enjoyed the food and drinks very much.

Very busy night. We had a show to go to and we had to really push to get out food out in time, was rushed. Took 15 mins to get our drinks and then an additional 10 to get our orders placed. It might have just been a busy night. Not always like that

A family new year dinner was beautiful at Prelude, we arrived earlier and was seated in the beautiful waiting area near the fireplace, the host was friendly and the server was super helpful and friendly, the food was great full of taste and freshness.

I was there with my son, my friend and her daughter. Our kids have been friends since elementary school just as long as we have been friends. We were celebrating friendship, and the holidays and Prelude was just the place to do that. The food, drinks and ambiance was superb. My friend’s daughter is vegetarian and she was satisfied with a delicious beat salad! I was delighted with the filet mignon. I have to say this is an outstanding and restaurant. I have been here a few times and I always leave satisfied knowing I want to return. Superb!

Prelude is always delicious. The brie and bruschetta appetizers, the short rib and scallops' entrees, the ambiance... always a great meal!

Stopped by for a snack before a show at the Crest. Very nice comfortable room. Our server, Kaitlin was friendly and very professional. Menu is small and well focused. We had three apps and bread service; a well spiced curry soup, their signature salad and a great carpaccio with crisps, parmesan cheese and aioli. Ended with a affogato made with a decadent vanilla bean ice cream. All were well balanced, carefully prepared and well plated. Serviceable wine list; not terribly adventurous but found a nice Bichot Chablis BTG. Solid dining option--not inexpensive, but excellent value. We will be back.
