Service was good. However the food was not at all worth the price. The burger was the size of a slider, it tasted fine, but it was $25! Literally 2 inch burger that was completely lost in the bun. I had chicken, which also tasted fine, but it was $35 for just 1 piece of chicken over a spoonful of purée- way too much for a chicken breast. We had 2 appetizers. The mussels again tasted good but they only gave you 10 mussels for $18!And lastly, they added a $24 charge, after the total, that simply said meal $24. No explanation of that charge at all- we ordered no extra food. Is this a crazy high food tax? Dining room was very cute and our server was nice, but this place is not worth the cost. I have tried serval times to call and inquire about this $24 change but humans will never answer the phone.

Everything was amazing and well thought out. Service was excellent as well. I was hesitant to order the veggie burger as there were so many other amazing offerings but I decided to give it a shot and was not disappointed! One of the tastiest veggie burgers I've ever had!

Red wine was ICE cold - dinner was cold - had stuffed acorn squash - presentation was horrible - nothing on the plate except for half an acorn squash with a sprinkling of quinoa for $29 with nothing on the side- waitress didn’t know whether it was supposed to be served cold or hot - never was asked if I wanted another glass of wine - just horrible - will never go back

A nice atmosphere and reasonably good service. Small plate dishes were good, but the main courses were over priced and heavily salted.

We were seated and waited 20 minutes before a server came to our table and only after alerting a hostess. The server, only 1 of 2 that night took our drink and appetizer order and didn’t return for 30 minutes to take our entree order. (I understand they were short staffed and it was a Holiday weekend with only two servers who appeared very stressed). People seated around us looked around in wondering if anyone was going to acknowledge them. The servers would just walk by with no acknowledgment. I am very sympathetic to a shortage of good help these days but it only takes a minute to acknowledge guests. It didn’t appear that there was a manager or anyone in charge that should’ve gone to tables to greet guests. take a drink order or explain that it would be a few minutes. We were there two hours and by the end it appeared that some of the other staff (hostesses and maybe a manager) were helping out a little running drinks and food. The food was good but the noise level was very loud and crowded at the bar which made it difficult to talk and enjoy our “date night”. I will note that I hardly ever complain or leave bad reviews, but I just wanted to make the staff aware of our experience and what we witnessed of others guests around us. I will give Plate another try on a less busy time as I did enjoy the food.

Plate never disappoints !! Our latest visit was fantastic we all enjoyed our food and drink , I highly recommend it, my favorite restaurant in Stowe !!

Super slow drink service, otherwise great. Took over 10min to even get server to table to order drinks after arriving. Second round equally slow.

We had a perfect December evening in Stowe village and Plate was the icing on the cake. Delicious food, fabulous service and a menu with a little something for everyone in the group (two of which are fussy eaters). I would confidently recommend and will definitely be back!
