Welcome to Plane & Level Coastal, a culinary gem located in the heart of Fairhope, AL. This is the second establishment of the Plane & Level brand, with its original location in the landmark town of Old Town Spring, Texas. Led by the acclaimed Culinary Director Chef Orlando Amaro and the talented Sommelier/Winemaker Thomas Perez, our restaurant brings a unique coastal dining experience to the Gulf Coast.

Overall, this was quite a disappointing experience, in stark contrast to dining here before. The restaurant was not crowded as it was 5:15 but we sat for 15 minutes before the waiter (Eric) asked us for a drink order. One of the party ordered a clear martini, which took an inordinate amount to time to be delivered and was wrong (dirty) and had to be sent back. A second martini ordered was wrong also. Two of our party ordered the beef rib was good but unrecognizable as it was completely covered with foam. The salmon and fish special ( snapper) dish were ok but nothing out of the ordinary. The vibe our party got was that the staff was disorganized (or disinterested) in being at work on Christmas Eve. We hope that this experience was a one-off due to the holidays. We had guests from out of town that we had bragged to on P&L , but our experience was underwhelming.

I highly recommend this gracious restaurant. The food is really beautiful. Quite tasty. And the ambience is very peaceful. And love the music. Really pretty bar, and the dinner tables are like antique bistro tables. Feel free to dress up and feel like you are in one of the best restaurants in the world!

Have been here several times for the Spanish menu , tonight was the best ever . I think they are changing them. I will miss the Spanish menu. But look forward to the new one .

Service is always good. Food is always great. We love this place, and we try to make a stop anytime we are in Fairhope. I had empanadas, tuna crudo, and we shared an octopus skewer. Tuna was my favorite. My husband had the huge pork chop.

First time here. Won’t be last time here. I wish I was there again, and I only just left. We had the sourdough bread service, collards with pork belly, and the Iberico hamburger. Oh yes, and bottle of Somantano (red). The only spots left (for 2) for reservation were at the bar, which was just fine, but I’d like to sit at a table next time. It’s all a tight fit in there when full, but definitely go. If you are in Fairhope…Go. When I’m back in Fairhope, I’ll go again, at least once.

We always enjoy our dining experience at Plane & Level. Last night, we celebrated my son's 22nd birthday, and the service, food, and atmosphere were exceptional. We savored the special paella, which was filled with fresh seafood, including red snapper, and Royal Reds, along with a variety of delicious tapas. We left with full bellies and very happy hearts. Don't walk—run to Plane & Level! The Chef and the entire team offer an incredibly unique experience and it is a wonderful addition to our Fairhope community.

Absolutely amazing every bite that I put in my mouth was delicious. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is in the mood for Spanish influenced food or just a good meal in general needs to check this place out. I was also told that the chef has plans to change the menu up since the restaurant is themed as "aviation" He's going to be doing flights to new destinations, so that's a unique concept! And the restaurant itself had a nice ambience each table was different with cozy Miss Matched chairs.
