Pig and Khao (68 Clinton Street), situado en el Lower East Side, es un establecimiento del concursante de Top Chef Leah Cohen. Ofrece una gastronomía inspirada en el sudeste asiático con influencia tailandesa y filipina. El menú incluye crispy pata y ensalada de mango (cerdo cocinado con salsa de soja y aderezado con 5 especies, cilantro, ajo crujiente servido con una receta familiar secreta con salsa de hígado agridulce), quijada de cerdo asado y ensalada de coles de Bruselas (salsa de pescado con lima y chile, chalote, hierbas y arroz tostado), panceta adobada crujiente de cerdo (pimienta de Sichuán, vinagre de coco, salsa de soja, hojas de laurel, ajo crujiente, cebolleta y huevos de codorniz pasados por agua). The food was tasty per usual. The service was the worst I’ve experienced in NYC. Unattentive and quite lazy waiters. At one point the waiter placed our main dish on the table next to us because our table was full of empty plates.I suppose he didn’t see the value in clearing our table.

Love the Kao Soi, the wings, the fried brussels - really everything we ordered was delicious - as always!! Pig & Khao is a go-to for me. Every time I bring friends here they are always impressed by how good it is, and what good a value! This is a true neighborhood gem!!

Hubs and I shared the family meal, he got the cocktail flight and I got the red wine flight. Food was fantastic, lots of options and can be heavy or lighter depending on the food you get. We did get the duck for our large plate, with a $5 upcharge per person but it was worth it. Only grievance was we already paid and my husband got his last cocktail, so the timing was a little off. But the restaurant was extremely busy. Overall would def go back, food was delicious.

Sitting at the chef's counter was great! So glad that the music was at a lower level than the last two times I was in- made my experience much more enjoyable. Got the chili pan mee and turon- both excellent. Hostess and server were friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming back!
