A cracking range of beers, liveners & pick me ups sit behind the bar, coupled with quirky art, curiosities, and plenty of cosy or lively spots to enjoy your pint and put the world to rights. It was 8pm on a Sturday evening, it was raceday ay Haydock Park and the front of the pub was bouyant. We were sat in the dining room which was warm and friendly we could hear the DJ but easily speak to each other. The food was very good, and served by an excellent polite and friendly Waitress. One of us had steak for mains medium rare and it was, the other pork belly mash on greens which was very good. Staff gave us just the right amount of attention. And were nice and prompt with drinks for us In all a great start to a Saturday evening, Thanks team Pied Bull xx

Delicious food and fantastic vegan options. Very good value for money and the staff are extremely helpful, kind and have excellent customer service.

Service was fantastic, but the food was nothing special. More attention needed in how to cook a steak required. I thought everyone knew how to cook steak however this was not good.

Food and service was excellent but the noisiest pub/restaurant we’ve ever been in, to the extent it spoiled the evening, such a shame. My husband had the fish and chips and it was the most stingy portion of mushy peas, more a child’s portion, he did point it out to the waitress who just shrugged her shoulders and said it wasn’t possible to get extra. Very disappointing as he said the fish was lovely.
