"Excellent Cuisine, Exciting Atmosphere, Unique Experience"

In the quaint town of Westwood, NJ, The Phoenician serves up exciting dishes in a unique ambiance. At the Phoenician, every dish is created using only the freshest, finest ingredients. We will only serve wild caught fresh fish, since farm raised has been found to have many toxins. Our meats are the choicest cuts of grass fed Black Angus. And our global cuisine is designed to create a healthier way to feed our body and soul.

We are known for and have a large selection of Gluten-free items on our menu. In addition, our kitchen has separate areas for gluten-free preparation.
We are a BYOB restaurant. However, we serve a NJ based wine from Cape May that is delicious. Family owned and operated for 24 years. Turdo Vineyard & Winery. We serve by the bottle only.

We look forward to serving you a delightful meal in our exciting addition to Bergen County's vibrant restaurant scene.

This restaurant is CLOSED!!! Do not book here!!! We went expecting a nice dinner and found a dark restaurant with no one there!! Seems like it closed months ago too!!

Made a reservation on Open Table for Valentine’s Day dinner at 7:15. Showed up with wife just after 7. Restaurant was closed. Like not open for business that night. Didn’t appear to be out of business. Just closed for the night. Horrendous, inexcusable experience. Then, because I had the reservation there, Open Table blocked me from trying to make a last-minute reservation elsewhere. Total disaster!

Why did open table make this reservation for me. The place was closed and it looks like they have been closed for a while.

I made the reservation through Open Table and when we got there a sign was on the door that said "closed, due to unforseen circumstances.

It was not a full house so noise level was low. Fried artichoke appetizer was crispy and dipping sauce was good. Ahi tuna was well executed. My shrimp over pasta with artichoke, sun dried tomatoes in garlic and oil tasted too lemony for my taste. Adding salt helped. Overall a nice meal and I would go back. It is a BYOB. The previous restaurant in that location was not so the bar area is used for extra tables.

This restaurant prides itself on the customer experience. They could not have been more attentive and they were not too attentive. Water was always filled, accommodations easily made to the menu, and very friendly staff. The food was very good. I would recommend the middle eastern cuisine dishes as their best. The ahi tuna was outstanding.
