Spending time researching in France for inspiration, Virant has crafted every dish with meticulous attention to detail and a reverence for tradition.

Seating 65 guests, Petite Vie’s intimate space exudes the warmth and comfort of a traditional French brasserie, while seamlessly blending modern design elements. A collaboration between Virant, his wife Jennifer and long-time friend and designer Jody Tate, every detail at Petite Vie tells a story of meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful curation.

Featuring French intricacy and layering, the space is a canvas of artistic expression, with artwork curated from both local talents and treasures acquired during the team's time in Paris. Framed prints, commissioned paintings, and a round antique mirror passed down through generations, adorn the walls, adding layers of intrigue.

The regular menu at Petite Vie is excellent, but tonight’s wine dinner menu and pairings were outstanding. Vinny, Paul, Frankie, T.J., Angelyne, Grace and the rest of the staff did a great job!

Excellent service and ambience. Trout was overly salted, the apple tart crust wasn't as crisp as I expected. Just right- sized portions. Overall though I recommend and would return. This is a wonderful addition to the western suburbs.

Excellent food. Excellent service. It was fun sitting at the counter watching the chefs prepare our meals. Highly recommended.

We loved our experience at Petite Vie. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food and the service was outstanding. For our next visit we will look to sit at the chef’s bar overlooking the kitchen.

Here’s the thing…. It’s a bit of a drive…. Across from Metra, quaint town, hidden…. One enters a world; sublime, delectable, intriguing…. Staff chipper, available, at the ready…. The kitchen captures the moments, amply supported by an unwavering staff…. Come one, come all, the hidden gems of France await…. Priced compassionately, welcoming all, the ambiance, if one listens intently…. Escape…. For some breaths, one can be there…. Libations to deserts, all in between, awaken, the harkening exists in Western Springs…. Bon Appetite!!
