Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events.

Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.

Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: Aunque el restaurante original Petit Trois es pequeño, como indica su nombre en francés (petit), la segunda versión del restaurante, a cargo de Ludo Lefebvre y situado en Sherman Oaks, es mucho mayor y cuenta con techos altos, detalles dorados y banquetas muy cómodas de color verde menta. Además, podrás degustar todos los platos clásicos, como el filete con patatas y la famosa hamburguesa Big Mec. Te aconsejo reservar plaza en el pequeño mostrador del chef para disfrutar de toda la acción que tiene lugar en la cocina.

One of my favorite LA restaurants. The omelet is excellent as is the burger, and they make the best frites in town. C'est formidable!

Petit Trois in Hollywood is a favorite of ours- we probably went 15-20 times in 2024. We chose to book NYE at Le Valley for the space and ambiance bc of the holiday. Had you asked me if I could have ever had such a disappointing meal from Petit Trois- I would have NEVER believed you. Steak tartare was a pile of meat on a plate with a side of fries (no shallots and no sourdough), $41 fried chicken special was 90% fried batter and 10% chicken (and that’s being generous). They were out of everything (food and cocktail ingredients) and it just appeared they were serving scraps and trying to pass it off as complete dishes for full price. When I questioned our server on the difference with the steak tartare she told Me “Oh we changed it!” Interestingly enough- it’s the same on the menu and a nearby table was served it correctly before we received ours. Trying to decide if this is an epic downturn or if it was just a restaurant woefully unprepared for NYE. So bummed and not the end of year celebration we had hoped for.

Our dinner was excellent. We had a large group that unfortunately dwindled to 3. The restaurant sat us quickly with no issues about the change in our party. Wonderful food and service. Already planning our next visit.

We have eaten at Petit Trois several times now and this was a typical experience with the food and service both of which were very good. Of the three dishes we shared the mussels & fries and the steak and fries were both perfect both in the way prepared and taste. The salad & goat cheese was okay as the balsamic dressing, while popular, was no match for this dish. A proper French dressing would have worked much better. Of course we will be back and choose a different salad.

Soo good. But soooo pricey. Double digits for a baguette and butter is just obscene. And, to be honest, while the ambience here is better than the original, the food at the original on Highland and Melrose is just better. They are cooking for too many people here.

Just was not a great experience from the moment we sat down at a very uncomfortable table for 4 people. Servers were miffed that they had to squeeze past my husband Tom and time again, making him truly uncomfortable. Wedge Salad was served with browned avocado. Steak Tartare entree was not served with toast had to ask twice for bread. Was looking forward to having a real classy dining experience-felt like we were at a glorified diner. Pretty pricy too.
