A culinary celebration of California's coastal offerings, and a heartfelt tribute to the late Peter Orr. Founded by Sarah Orr and her mother Mary Ann Orr of Sunset Hospitality Group, Pete's Fish House embodies a deep-rooted passion for community and culinary excellence.

Named in honor of Sarah's father and mentor, this restaurant is more than just a dining experience—it's a reflection of cherished memories and Peter’s larger than life legacy. Sarah explains, "I have been looking for a way to honor him, and this feels like the right way to do that."

At Pete's Fish House, expect a menu that is inspired by the coastal waters and the bountiful local agriculture that Peter was deeply committed to, ensuring a true representation of our region's culinary heritage.

Always an excellent choice. Wild, hook+line caught, sustainable fish. Perfect combination of flavors in every dish. Don't miss the mussels and fries, and the clam pasta with a smoked clam sabayon - delish!

Our first visit but will not be our last! Warm and welcoming staff and decor. The food was amazing!! From the Dungeness crab tempura and salmon rillets to the Caesar Salad, everything delicious AND beautifully plated. A must visit in Capitola

This has to be one of the best fish restaurants on the Central Coast with the best tiramisu.

great date night spot. Great food and incredibly good service from our server Mike. Made our anniversary dinner quite special - thank you! This is a great spot in Capitola and am so happy its part of the community!

Very tasty food. Happy to see a bit of class in capitola. Waiter was very informative but spoke too quickly. Although he was very efficient.

The food was excellent overall. I highly recommend the salmon roulette and oysters—both were standout dishes. While the Dungeness crab tempura didn’t quite meet expectations, everything else was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend eating here.

It was our second time here bringing friends and first time for lunch. Again, Chef Dez knocked it out of the park! I’m so Glad the owner allows him to just “do his thing”. He’s a Santa Cruz county treasure and a great addition to Capitola.

We visited after Christmas on a sunny day. The restaurant was bright and cheerful. Great views of the ocean. We dined on fish and chips (delicious, fresh and unique). Also had the crab sandwich which was tasty. We thought a nice meal. Pleasant. More upscale than other ocean front restaurants. We would return.
