At Pelato we proudly serve authentic Brooklyn Italian fare, reimagined in a small plate & casual atmosphere. We embrace the richness of Italian culture, infused with the unmistakable spirit of Brooklyn. It's not just a motto; it's in our DNA.

Outdoor dining available year-round in our enclosed, covered, & heated patio. Indoor seating is not guaranteed for patio diners in the event of poor weather conditions.

20% gratuity will be applied to groups of 6 or more. Split checks may be divided up to 4 credit cards at equal value. A corkage fee of $45 per 750ml will be applied to guests bringing their own wine (limit 2 bottles). A dessert plating fee of $5 per person will be applied to any outside desserts. Due to high demand, tables are subject to a 2-hour limit.

Not only was the food amazing, but the bartender and servers were so versed and knowledgeable of the food and was able to make great recommendations for the perfect evening!

I do not remember the name of our waiter but he was excellent! Patient, proficient, and friendly. Everything was brought out in a timely manner as well for such a busy evening! Ambience was superb! I will be back!

Hello Shirin, We understand the noise level can be high at times, especially because of the fun atmosphere that we like to provide. Our food items are tapas-style (small and shareable portions) and we do not have appetizers, entrees, or sides. We make sure that our servers explain this during their initial greet; expressing that dishes will come out in no particular order. Our guests like this family dining style and appreciate the hand-curated dishes. This is a very cute restaurant! I wish I could have given more stars. We sat at a half booth half table and it just seemed like we were very close to other people, you couldn’t get up out of the booth side without bumping into the person sitting next to you. It was also very loud, I completely understand we were there on a weekend night, but my date and I were basically yelling at each other and asking us to repeat what we said constantly. The drinks looked good but were quite expensive ($18-$20 each) so we passed on that. We ordered the stuffed calamari and the vodka pasta and it was not what we were expecting at all. It came with six pieces of calamari (not fried) and stuffed with a seafood mix. It was good, but you couldn’t cut into it without having everything fall out, and eating it in one bite was a lot especially with the chewy texture. The vodka pasta was delicious it was just a small portion. Our server did explain that everything was shareable and that they recommend doing 2-3 pastas/dishes a person. That would be 4-6 pastas for two people, and at each one starting at $20 it was just more than what we were expecting. We went to a different “share plate” Italian place a couple days before and was great off of two pastas, so to then come here and need to order 4 just to get full (trust me you will not get full if you only get 1 or 2 pastas) for double the price wasn’t very appealing. Maybe we should have skipped the small plates and went straight to the pastas? Overall the staff was very friendly and brought out a sparkler to celebrate our anniversary! Very sweet

Sadly, Pelato was one of our favorites and go-to spots with friends and out of towners. Last nights experience was so disappointing. We had a hard time finding anything to order from the new menu. One of our guests is lactose intolerant and could not finding anything without cheese, and the kitchen is unable to make modifications . We asked if the kitchen could add grilled chicken to the Pelato salad and the server informed us that the chicken was pre-cooked and they could not! In addition, The zucchini strings tasted like calamari and the new chicken wrapped in prosciutto is not a match to the chicken Marsala, that was removed from the menu. The most disappointing part was the server knew that we were not happy. She didn’t let management know, and they are more focused on getting us in and out then attending to our needs.

Hi Laura, I am sorry that your experience with us last night did not hit the mark for you. We have a few options for guests with lactose intolerance such as our Pelato Salad, Prosciutto, and Spaghetti with red sauce. The kitchen works hard to create high-quality, hand-made dishes that involve a lot of preparation. This makes it difficult for them to modify dishes. I was the manager that came over to your table to speak with you. I agree that the Chicken Marsala was an amazing dish! Loved our dinner here! Everything was great specially the arancini and fusilli pesto, my boyfriend loved the radiatori vodka and meatballs. Will definitely come back!
