A refreshing new breed of wine bar, Peacock is a relaxed and boisterous hideaway overlooking the city’s picturesque waterfront in the heart of Halifax’s bustling Queen’s Marque district. Serving an ever-evolving list of labels including small-production and hard-to-find bottles as well as an extensive by-the-glass selection, its menu features a thoughtfully curated list of sharing plates and handmade pastas lightly anchored in local seafood and seasonal vegetables.

Another lovely evening at Peacock! Delicious fondue, and ambiance. But it is the service that makes it stand out. Madeline was lovely and attentive without being invasive during our dinner. It was a very nice change of pace from other place I've dined recently. Will be back for sure!

Had the chefs tasting menu at $95 per person incredible value but also very creative, high quality, generous and most important delicious! Great service and a small but sneaky good wine list... bravo!

Beautifully decorated chic space! The food was incredible with unique flavour combinations and textures. We enjoyed home made focaccia, burrata, three mushroom salad, tuna and scallops. We finished off with whipped pumpkin cheesecake. Wow! Moira and team are not only talented but so creative. Foodies… you gotta eat here!!

We had the tasting menu, and tried both options, overall delicious, the only thing we did not enjoy was the pasta. Service was excellent!

Buzzy but not busy, delicious cocktails, chef's fixed menu is amazing, very well prepared food (all the proteins were cooked to perfection), and the service was prompt, friendly but unobtrusive.

We had a fabulous evening at Peacock. Our server Kristine was outstanding. Very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, efficient and absolutely lovely! The food was so flavourful and scrumptious. We will definitely be back. Thank you! 🥂

This was a “Redemption Dinner”, as I was provided with a Courtesy Certificate from Freehand Hospitality, who manage the Peacock Wine Bar + numerous other restaurants at Queen’s Marque in Halifax. The service was stellar, as were our appetizers of warm mushroom salad, burrata and my friend’s main of rib eye. My main of Tortellini in Brodo was flavourful but pricey for the dish and the pasta would have benefited from being more tender. Wine service was knowledgeable with many good options. Our ice cream and sorbet desserts were tasty and generous portions, which could have been enhanced by an accompanying biscotto or pirouline. Overall, we enjoyed our evening and choice of where to spend it.
