Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu containing all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. Our curries are inspired by the railway cooks on train journeys in India.

Founder and Head Cook Puneet Wadhwani, has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station.

We can cater to private events, garden parties, and celebration days. We do a maximum of 12-15 events throughout the year due to the restaurant being busy on most weekends. Our private events start from £ 35 per person with a minimum of 25 guests where we bring our restaruant to your home.

Very good, authentic tasting food. We had the alu ticking and keeps with egg. We also had the brinjal which was fine but not as good as the other dishes.. Service was very sweetly done. I didn't like the chai but they didn't charge me for it. Cosy place, just a few minutes from Lyric Hammersmith. We had tight timelines for a pre-theatre meal but they handled it perfectly.

The food was reasonable, my wife is Punjabi and thought that it was OK but not great, but it was quite expensive for what we got. I guess if you eat in Hammersmith that's what you pay!

I eat here regularly and order take out too. Consistently excellent. Best eaterie in West London.

Thank you for your feedback! We always aim to provide an experience that’s worth every penny… but it seems you did not read our menu properly. We like to think of the back of the menu as our secret recipe for happiness. It states "The CTO would like to make your journey memorable. Our aim is to make customers for life and avoid negative reviews so please speak to us and we will make it right " The Thali's can be topped up on request so no one leaves hungry. We want customers to talk to us when the flames are still warm, not after they’ve burned out!

Unfortunately , it didn’t live up to the high expectations set by my previous visit. The ambience was decent, though a bit cramped, which made it feel less comfortable than before. The starters, however, were fantastic — full of flavor and definitely a highlight. That said, the main course didn’t quite hit the mark. The quality wasn’t as good as I remembered, and it didn’t seem to live up to the standard set by the starters. Service, on the other hand, was excellent thanks to Anaya, who was attentive and friendly. However, it was disappointing to witness the owner/manager yelling at her for no apparent reason, which was uncomfortable and off-putting. All in all, it seems that the experience has gone downhill since my last visit. While the food and atmosphere were better previously, I hope they can address these issues for future visits.

This place is like the Koh-i-Noor, stolen from India, although we should keep this one. Great food and lovely staff.

Best Indian restaurant I have been to in London! Daal is divine and chicken biriyani full of flavour and volume. All for a very reasonable price!

Amazing different Indian food - we popped up after visiting the Hammersmith Apollo - we’d read the reviews and it was well worth the detour.

We went to this restaurant with great expectations but were very disappointed and dissatisfied with the experience. It was pretentious but didn’t live up to the expectations. We ordered the grand thali with seafood for 5 people which took an hour to prepare and they said that on the menu so we were prepared for it. While we were waiting they served starters like panipuri and chaat which were good. The thali arrived with 26 dishes and we couldn’t work out why it took 1 hour as the only fresh things were the naan and samosa and aloo tikki. All the other dishes looked pre-prepared. The only decent dish was the kheema. The rest of the curries were sweet!! There was no salad as advertised or chutney with the samosas and tikki. The dessert was a kind of a fruit salad which was frozen when we asked for a second one. The food was expensive for what it was and was typically like a curry house definitely not for the Indian palate. The service was slow and there were only 2 people serving. I would not go again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless you like going to a typical curry house!!
