It was our first time dining here and everything was great. The food was spectacular and perfectly balanced my date and I both got the otaru course and it was a great choice. The salmon first course is amazing. We got appetizers the gyoza and the tartare were both some of the best we had. Our server Britt was kind and knowledgeable and she put the experience over the top. We will be returning on a future date night that is for sure

Our dining experience was fantastic! Couldn't recommend the Otaru Experience menu option enough. Being able to taste the culinary range of their menu without having to choose the individual items yourself kept our dining experience simple, yet wonderfully varied and tasty.

The atmosphere is very upscale, very Asian themed, a crisp and modern design. The service is wonderful. Very attentive staff, happy to explain any of the Japanese cuisine that you are not familiar with. The food is both a gastronomic and visual delight. The view is incredible! The very best view of the city that you can reserve a table at. The prices are a bit more, but so worth it due to the exquisite presentations, flavorful sauces and unique ingredients.

Came to Otaru for my birthday dinner and the experience was wonderful. Our server Angela was amazing, a walking encyclopedia through the whole experience. I chose to do the Otaru Experience and boy was it. All nine courses were out of this world and Angela explained every step in impeccable detail. My girlfriend chose the Otaru course and it was an excellent Sushi experience and explained wonderfully. The cocktails paired great with our dishes and were delightful. Cherry on top for the birthday dessert. All in all an 11 out of 10 experience that I can’t recommend enough. Thank you Otaru and Angela! You were great!

It’s a delightful space on Mt Washington. Very cool interior. We had a window seat, always love the view. We did the Otaru experience and loved every dish! Lauren our server recommended a great sake for us to share.

A wonderful experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything, making sure we got the best of the best experience. Highly recommend. Great view of the city as well.

Dined here on a clear sky Monday night for a special occasion. There are two stories of seating, maximizing the number of window seats to enjoy the classic expansive Mt. Washington perched view of the City of Pittsburgh. The hostess was welcoming and our waitress Brynn was skilled and cheerfully helpful. The ambiance was inviting with warm rich golden lighting and blonde wood furniture. The fish was AMAZING as it is flown in from Japan daily. It is very pricey but worth every bite. By far one of the best dining experiences I've had in Pittsburgh in quite awhile. On Thursdays, they offer a special dining multiple course meal experience (reserve on Open Table under ‘Experiences’) which I'm looking forward to coming back to try.
