OSTRA, a signature restaurant of Peninsula Papagayo, is a culinary gem led by Michelin-trained Chef Bruno Alves. Experience an extraordinary menu evolution and savor elevated, modern Costa Rican flavors re-imagined and infused with the best locally sourced farm-to-table ingredients. Sip classic cocktails at the bar or terrace and celebrate the essence of coastal dining. Also, we now offer Perla, a restaurant within a restaurant at the sushi bar. This modern sushi experience serves only local fish and operates Tuesday-Friday based on product availability.

Fue una experiencia extraordinaria, la comida exquisita, la amabilidad excelente, y el lugar una maravilla. Mis amigos y yo estábamos celebrando nuestro cumpleaños y de verdad nos hicieron sentir especial. Los recomiendo al cien por ciento. Gracias por todo! Pura Vida!

Excellent restaurant! We had a great breakfast with many options, but dinner was outstanding! We met Chef Bruno who whipped up the best ceviche we’ve ever had! This chef is a rock star! All the other dishes were also amazing! The service which is just as important as the food was great as well. Xavier. Joao and the manager Luis who we had a great conversation with were super attentive and helped make it a wonderful experience. We will be returning a few more time before we depart. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ostra is a beautiful restaurant with great service. The atmosphere was very chic and modern and the service was attentive and considerate. However, the food was subpar. I went for dinner and lunch and both times I was given something that was not the dish that was advertised. For dinner, I ordered the "handmade seafood pasta." The pasta in my dish was not handmade, it looked and tasted like rice a roni. It had the texture and taste of rice. For lunch, I ate at the pool by Ostra and ordered the "papaya salad." There was no papaya in the salad. Very disappointing considering the price and reputation. I was very disappointed that the dish was falsely advertised/not clearly communicated. I would highly recommend that you ask the server about the dish before you order it

The best service and staff, and great food!!They are so attentive to their guests, and left the sweetest gift for us on the last night of our stay in our guest room. I wish I could come back all of the time!!

Really busy night at Ostra tonight! Seemed sold out from what I could tell. My boyfriend and I came to celebrate his birthday, and Ostra was amazing! We loved Gaudy, the sushi chef. She made our food to perfection and offered us a taste of Miso Soup. Really showed us the value of Hyatt’s “Thoughtfully Sourced, Carefully Served.” Food was delicious, great wine, and great people!
