El Orsa & Winston es el tercer restaurante en el centro del chef y propietario Josef Centeno, conocido por Bäco Mercat y Bar Amá. Todas las noches hay un menú degustación distinto. El restaurante incorpora sensibilidades de la gastronomía italiana y japonesa en un salón comedor de ambiente íntimo con aforo para 32 comensales y una cocina abierta. Overall, it was a solid Michelin experience. The food was excellent, and is customary with a 5 course menu, the chef was kind enough to pass along a few extra dishes. My girlfriend and I were torn on our favorite dish between the crudo and the seafood entree. The food was the highlight of the experience. At least two of the dishes were great enough to make me return, and the pacing of the meal was excellent. The seafood porridge, while a surcharge, showcases a fantastic combination of technical skill with marvelous ingredients. I will say the dessert was disappointment— I wished they leaned into something more sweet after so many salty and decadent dishes. Food wise, it might be repeat visit. They really nailed a seasonal tasting menu, and I found the chef compliments like the shishito pepper with crema to be delightful. However, I found the ambience, decor and service to be lacking. Of course, this is by Michelin standards. The facilities in general were acceptable. By Michelin standards though, it was substandard. The decor was largely minimalist, the seating area was small with half table half booth seating. Both sides were uncomfortable. For two hour meal, I never felt comfortable and kept shifting in my seat to find the right spot to no avail. It was a rare cool day in LA, and the restaurant was also cold too. Service was good but there was only two waiters, one of whom also doubled as the somm from what I could tell. They did an excellent job with only the two of them but there was more than one time where I need to serve myself water etc. again, no problem, but not what I expect from a restaurant of this quality. I liked my experience a lot! And I think most people will too. But I think once was enough.

Outstanding Michelin star food and excellent staff, however they do need to put a little more effort into the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Valet parking would be nice too.

My second time here, it just terrible experience this time. Food is full of salt, cream, fish. Had to drink 3 cup of water.

After a confusing start things turned out very good. The confusing start was the result of the restaurant not being clearly marked from the street. We missed the entrance a couple of times and had to call the restaurant. Once we arrived and started the meal, things were quite pleasant. The food here is excellent. The only dish that I had an issue with was the squid ink pasta which was a little too soft and not as flavorful as the other dishes. I would definitely be going back because everything else was excellent.

Orsa and Winston has received Michelin star ratings for several years. The Chef creates very interesting dishes. His expertise especially shows with his vegetable dishes. The service is very efficient and friendly, with each dish served. I highly rate this restaurant.
