When you come to Opheem, you get an insight into the inner workings of my mind. We’re striving to push the boundaries with Indian flavours, but with cooking techniques from all over the world, some traditional, and some very modern. At Opheem, I’ll be using the same paints as I’ve always done, to create a very different picture, on a very, very different canvas. Why? Because to evolve and adapt is what makes us human, and cooking is what sets us apart from the animals.

Note we will not be able to cater for the following allergens; tomato, onion, garlic and ginger. Sadly, we also can not cater for our Vegan guests with our present menu. The price of this menu will remain static to the best of our ability but for future bookings we can not guarantee this price will not vary.

    What a great experience! Service was great and the recommendation on the cocktails was on point. Flavours were very well balanced but portions could have been larger

    An excellent venue with great food and wonderful people. Totally justified two stars Michelin rating. Loved the whole experience with a very relaxed start in the lounge area before moving to the dining area. Loved the little touches . Definitely a gem that Birmingham should be very proud of.

    The food was absolutely incredible the ambience just right the whole experience is extra special but the atmosphere is relaxed. All of the staff were great this is a perfect restaurant for a special occasion.

    Third visit always an amazing evening with magnificent food and service . Dining in many fabulous restaurants around the world Orpheem is still our favourite.

    Opheem was such an amazing experience. I really appreciated the change in scenery, going from the bar to the table and back to the bar, to taste different courses, as otherwise, it would have been very long to be sitting in the same place. Staff were incredible, attentive and engaging. Whilst the cost is a lot of money, it is not expensive if you think the value for money you get. It was incredible.

    Brilliantly memorable experience. The attention to detail is incredible, from the service through to the food, drinks, ambience and the whole experience generally. The 10 courses were all so delicious, and we loved all the little surprise snacks pre- and post-meal in the lounge area. Every single bite and all the drinks were 10/10. It was also lovely to have dishes served and explained to us by the chefs including Aktar himself! Despite being ‘fancy’ and Michelin starred which could have felt intimidating, we felt really relaxed and looked after. This was the most I have ever spent on a meal and yet I would say it is worth it for a really special evening.

    From the phone call 2 days before we ate to the last moment we were in the restaurant we cannot fault the service. The staff were all polite, engaging and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb every course delivering in flavour and looks. All the tables have a good view of the kitchen and Aktar and his team hard at work. The wine list is comprehensive and caters for all price points. We would go back again which is always a good sign.

    My family and I had the most amazing 10 course taster meal. The food was exceptional the service was brilliant. The team were so attentive.
