NOTE: Please note parties of 10 or more please call for reservations. We are a small restaurant and requests for specific tables cannot be guaranteed. Reservations will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes. Please be sure your party arrives promptly.
This old time watering hole once known as The Clear Water Tavern, catered to the desires of the cattle drovers , a group of professional middle men who purchased herds of cattle and swine from New England farmers. They would drive animals down post roads to the New York City markets, and sell them “for as good a price as they could get.”
Today Old Drovers Inn offers a unique casual dining experience for everyone including pub night every Wednesday. Be sure to have a specialty cocktail featured on our cocktail menus. We are proud to have won two consecutive years in a row from Chronogram Magazine, Best Bartender and Best Craft Cocktail of the Hudson Valley!

I ordered the prime rib special with Yorkshire pudding. The meat was tough to cut and worse to chew. The Yorkshire pudding was a teensy piece of something on top of the meat. I was soooo disappointed!!! The pudding tasted like nothing..it should never have been advertised as rib roast with Y pudding. Fabrication. My husband's pork tenderloin was overcooked. Veggies were good. Service by the waiter was very good!

Lovely country Inn restaurant. Romantic and cozy. Cheddar and ale soup and wedge salad are top notch. My prime rib was a little tough and very fatty. Mashed potatoes were tasty, green beans were lackluster and boring. My husband ordered the ravioli special. It was good but not great. Service was top notch. Great spot and staff. They need to up their game on the food.

Another fabulous dinner!!! The braised short ribs were so tender and delicious. Of course, the holiday cocktail was not only delicious, but so pretty as well!

We had another fabulous dinner at Old Drovers. My husband said the fish and chips was delicious- and I thoroughly enjoyed the cod fish special. The festive decorations, music, and cocktails brought such a nice touch to our whole experience! Just fantastic!
