Opening December 21, 2024, Ocean Prime is a nationally acclaimed, dynamic seafood & steakhouse from the award-winning Cameron Mitchell Restaurants located in the The Quay Sarasota. Ocean Prime delivers an elevated experience with exceptional ambiance, a chef-curated menu, signature handcrafted cocktails, Wine Spectator honored wine list and genuine hospitality. Reservations are recommended. Ocean Prime strives to provide an elegant, fine dining atmosphere. Our associates’ priority is to ensure your experience is memorable. We ask that our guests choose attire that is both polished and suited to our restaurant.     As expected, Ocean Prime was excellent. Food and service were top notch. Interestingly all my dining companions chose seafood instead of steak - everything was very good. I’ve heard Cameron Mitchell restaurants always train their staff very well - Ocean Prime is no exception. Our server was personable, never in a hurry and explained everything very well to us. He knew the nuances of all the dishes. I have 2 small things I would offer as possible improvements. The noise level was fairly high and most of all, there were only 2 restrooms on the fairly large main floor area and both were unisex!!!

    The scented candles at the entry/hostess stand were overwhelming. Slower than expected entree delivery. Other than those issues, it was a really good meal and service.

    Side order of potatoes were delivered with apologies and comped at end of meal. Noise level unbearable!!!!! You need to fix this sound problem,. Outside heaters were excellent. Server Doug and his assistant was excellent. Entrees were well prepared. Resent having to pay for valet parking since there is no parking lot. Valets should work for tips.

    It was anniversary as I stated on my reservation. They greeted us with Champagne and took us to our table that was decorated with rose petals and a card. Bill was our server and was very knowledgeable and very attentive. Everyone that walked by our table wished us happy anniversary. Food was amazing view was amazing service was amazing. Can’t wait to go back

    Excellent server, food was fantastic and once all the construction is completed the overall ambience will improve ( as we were sitting on outside patio). Cameron Mitchell has continued his track record of success here in Sarasota!

    An official excellent restaurant with great service and incredibly flavorful food and drinks. Pretty loud but it was New Year’s Eve so people were having fun! Incredible that the restaurant has been open less than 2 weeks.

    The restaurant is beautiful. We sat outside and the outlook is pretty. Attentive staff. Very friendly and respectful. The oysters, exclusive to Ocean Prime were really good. As was the crab cocktail that my husband chose. I had the lamb which was really good. The steak was average. His fries turned up tainted with truffle - which he hates. These were returned and came out fresh when he had nearly finished his meal. . Unfortunately our friends steak was undercooked and had to be sent back. Never the same when it comes out again, and he was disappointed. The waitress gave him a complimentary carrot cake. Which we shared. That was light and delicious. All in all a nice evening. Pricey for what we had. There are only two restrooms - inadequate for the number of tables.
