Oak is a contemporary steakhouse located in Alexandria, Virginia, from The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Oak Steakhouse creates a menu showcasing the finest cuts of Certified Angus Beef, along with locally-sourced produce from farms in Virginia and across the nation. Oak Steakhouse is proud to use Certified Angus Beef, renowned for its exceptional quality, with each cut meeting ten exacting standards delivering superior taste and tenderness. Guests can expect a bustling steakhouse experience, with farm-to-table sensibilities, classic cocktails, and a global wine list in a convivial atmosphere. Oak Alexandria features an intimate and inviting dining room, with an open kitchen lined with sleek pewter tile, allowing guests a glimpse of the chefs in action. Rustic reclaimed wood and crimson leather banquettes adorn the space, which seats up to 110 guests in the dining room. A custom-built wine wall displays a selection of Oak's robust wine list which features over 200 bottles. Oak Alexandria also offers an outdoor patio that seats 36, as well as a sophisticated private dining room which is available for up to 30 guests.

The service could’ve been a lot better. Our server didn’t check in with us following our first course, so we didn’t get our entrees until an hour and a half after we arrived. That’s unacceptable. Also, the food was not hot even though he said “We were waiting for you to finish your appetizers before bringing out the entrees.” If that’s the case, our entrees should’ve arrived hot. Lastly, he packed the French fries that were for my daughter with the steak to take home. What if my daughter were not a meat eater? Unacceptable.

We decided to go back to Oak this NYE and wow are we glad. This restaurant understanding the whole experience is what makes them stand out. From the moment we arrived we were treated amazing. They even found me readers when I mentioned I left mine at home. Our server encouraged us to relax and c enjoy our time with them. He recommended outstanding drinks and food. The Oysters Rockefeller with Rich and decadent. And our steaks were melt in your mouth delicious. Love this restaurant and the people who work there that make it special. Thank you for an amazing evening.

Paris was lovely. Service was a bit slow and missed out on something we ordered. Food is always delicious. Fun night all in all!

The food was good all around but there was a lack of attention to detail that kept it from 5*. The server should know what beer is on tap and if we order the steak unsliced, it should arrive unsliced. At these prices, there should be no annoyances.

Booked a table for two for a nice celebration dinner. It may have been just that night but it was loud with multiple tables with groups. Made the atmosphere unpleasant. The service was good. This place forced us to order the appetizer and main at once, so don’t expect a relaxing evening. The expectation is clear - order, eat and leave. Naturally we ordered steaks and two sides. Sides are “family style” and ordered for the table. The food was delicious but pricey. The unexpected addition on the bill was an automatically added “gratuity” of 20%. For a party of 2! Not stated anywhere, so check your bill before tipping.
