Loved the classic eggs benedict which chef made off menu for us. And the croissants were so buttery and flaky. What a relaxing ambiance for catching up with friends on a Sunday morning over the holiday season!

We close up our travel for the holiday in Boston by having breakfast at the fairmont. It’s elegant and very tasty.

Very festive and the food was good but very pricey and it was loud in there. I haven’t been since they renovated and remember it feeling more like a lounge and less like a loud bar before.

Lovely night. Server was great. We were seated outside the main bar area which was a bit disappointing but the noise level was much lower than the bar so we could talk to each other.

The crowd, assigned table and noise level was extremely uncomfortable. It was very difficult to navigate to our table, we were inches away from neighboring tables and impossible to have a conversation. We were leaving without ordering when the host tracked us down before we hit the door and offered a more quiet table which was somewhat of an improvement. The service was expectedly slow. The food was average. I had the octopus which was a bit difficult to cut into - and the chickpeas that were served with them were very firm, like straight out of a can. It seemed like a fire hazard with so many people in one place. I’ve been at the Long Bar many time (was even married at the hotel 24 years ago) but I won’t be back on nights that are known to be busy.

There was a large group (company event) when we were there which made it very busy however the overall experience was excellent just a tad delayed . Thanks,

Our waiter was amazing, he was super sweet and very attentive to all our needs. I also mentioned in our reservation that it was our mom’s 85th birthday. We were about to leave and our waiter stopped us as he had champagne and cake for her. It was truly a memorable night and we cannot thank the Oak Long Bar enough.

Our server was not good. He did not check on us for a long time and did not come back to get refills on water and ask if we wanted more drinks. Our food came out wrong and we had to ask the host to clear our plates and for the check because he kept not coming around. It’s tough because we love the place and the food tastes very good but the service was not up to the usual quality we’ve experienced before.

The noise level is high. Waiter could have been more aware, such as placing steak knives for our guests instead of me getting up to find him and ask for knives when dinner was served. We were there early the restaurant was busy but not crazy busy. Food was good, salmon delicious
