Experience Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's world renowned cuisine in Indian Wells.
Overlooking Stadium 2 in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, guests can enjoy intimate ambiance. Indulge in Chef Nobu's famous signature dishes including Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, Rock Shrimp Tempura and Black Cod Miso as well as traditional Japanese favorites and sushi.

Rock shrimp tempura was excellent and Salmon Sushi like biting through butter. All excellent and love the ambiance.

Imaginative and well prepared food. My favorit was the torro tartare, Chilean sea bass, shrimp and lobster with the spicy dressing. I found the artichoke salad and the eggplant spicy miso a little bit on an oily side, but still tasty. As a desert the signature Blueberry Yuzu tennis ball did not disappoint. Also the cocktails and wine were good.

Because many of the dishes are unique, the menu does not really help as much as it could. Like in Japan, pictures in the menu would help. That said, the dinner was awesome. Our daughter had eaten at another Nobu, and recommended the blackened cod, which was outstanding. Do not miss it! The salmon sashimi was wonderful as were the ribeye gyoza. As with the food, the mixed drinks need more explanation, as even the waiter could not really describe what flavors the unusual liquors contributed to the whiskeys, gins, and sakes. I guessed well and had a delicious drink with gin, sake, and other flavorings. The service was very attentive and professional. Finding Nobu if you don't belong to the Tennis Gardens and are familiar with the layout can be worrisome, but it is actually easy and each of the points along the way from the entrance to the elevator have attendants who guide you. For unique Japanese food, there is no place like Nobu in the Coachella Valley.

What an enormous disappointment! We were expecting an upscale dining experience and first class service. The small dining room is overshadowed by large TV’s which give the restaurant the feel of a sports bar. In our case, they were broadcasting Sunday Night Football. Not exactly romantic. When we arrived at 5:30 PM, the place was practically empty. We were directed to the worst table - right next to the bar along a path of travel. Politely, we asked to be seated next to the window and were told those are “reserved for VIP’s” which evidently we were not. We asked the hostess to check with the manager who apparently concurred. The reservation was made nearly a month in advance and was to celebrate a very special birthday. Unfortunately, the hostess handled the interaction so poorly, we found ourselves feeling offended and not at all interested in staying, We left and instead had a fantastic experience at the nearby La Quinta Cliffhouse. They treated us like VIP’s and despite being very busy made sure we had a table we were happy with.

Great place and amazing food experience. It has become ridiculously over priced now that is running over $250 a person. Better value else where.

The service was the best part of our experience and we rated it as 3. It was spotty. We were there about 30 minutes before our drink order was taken. The food was unextraordinary, too sugary and uninspired. The ambiance was also a disappointment, being more of a sports bar than a contemporary high end Japanese restaurant. The cost was high based on all of the above.
