"El Nice Matin, llamado así por el periódico diario de mayor tirada del sur de Francia, aporta a Upper West Side un toque de sol provenzal y una introducción embriagadora a la gastronomía de Niza, cuna de la pissaladière (coca similar a la pizza italiana), del pan bagnat (bocadillo tradicional con aceite de oliva) y, si hemos de creer el menú, una hamburguesa enorme con queso Comté, untada con alioli y servida con un montón de patatas fritas con motas de romero". Es lo mejor que puede le puede ocurrir a una hamburguesa desde que Daniel Boulud incluyó el foie gras y el asado de tira en una hamburguesa solo de carne de res. Atmosphere is a bit dated but the classic bistro fare is good. Service was a little unattentive but fine.

A fantastic meal again at Nice Matin. Our favorite French restaurant in NYC! I had the Hanger Steak and my wife loved her salmon. Both amazing as always

From the moment we checked in for our reservation to the last bite of dessert, we were met with warm greetings and perfect service. We started with drinks. The Pear Margarita was so good I had two! The ARTICHOKES PARMESAN hors d’oeuvre was so amazing. I wanted more! (And the recipe!) My husband got the ANGUS HANGER STEAK and practically licked the plate clean. Oh the mashed potatoes!!! So creamy. I had the POULET RÔTI, and the chicken was moist, and the sauce was the perfect compliment to it and some of those fluffy potatoes! Did I mention the roll? I am such a bread snob, and love when I can rip open a warm roll! Even better when you dip it in the saucy cheese and sauce of the artichoke! Coffee, cheesecake and some apricot sorbet to finish off the meal. Literally one of the BEST MEALS we have had in a very long time and a definite must when we are in town and the vicinity.

There is a simple reason why we have returned to this restaurant. Every meal here has been excellent. Our dinner last night was great and we I am writing this while waiting for my breakfast here.
