   Last night’s meal at Nectar was a disaster. Most importantly, there was metal wire in the spinach served to one of the people in our party — A METAL WIRE. Fortunately she spotted it and disaster was averted. The assistant manager’s immediate reaction was to offer us a free desert. This followed a failure to deliver an appetizer. A 15 minute wait for a drink. A longer wait for dinner. And the delivery of a main course (the one with spinach and wire) that was not what we ordered. Indeed, although they offered to fix it, they said it would take at least another 15 minutes — while the other entrees had already been served. Bottom line — something was very wrong at Nectar last night. The service was lousy. The food was wrong. And the metal could have seriously hurt our friend. We won’t be back until we get an explanation for the horror show that was our dinner last evening.

   Good morning- My name is Paul Norris and I'm a partner with Nectar. First and foremost, I wanted to reach out and apologize directly I wanted to let you know we always take any issue very seriously, especially an issue like a foreign object. My team followed protocol - alerting me immediately, identifying the issue and taking immediate action. In this case, a scrub brush in dish was the culprit and was immediately tossed. The team & I will monitor more closely moving forward I do know we comped your entire check as I would have expected. And while none of us were aware of the long waits, I am open to hearing more if you wish. At first glance, it appears everything transpired in the one hour you were here so I'm interested to hear more.

   The food was delicious and fresh. The service was great from the time we walked in until we left. Thoroughly enjoyed our first time and will definitely return.

   We enjoyed the specials - great fish dish! It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the live music.

   Food was just ok this time around, some really good some just so-so. Service was generally poor, but could have been the individual server.

   Even though it was raining, we decided to sit on the patio and had a wonderful visit. In fact, we had the patio to ourselves. Each dish was well prepared and very tasty. Our server, Lincoln, made my birthday celebration with friends even more special. We can't wait to return for our next meal at Nectar in Bluffton!

    Our 1st visit but won’t be our last. Food was delicious- fresh ingredients, local flavors. The deviled eggs were great. I enjoyed the broiled shrimp and my husband had the cheddar burger. All excellent. Highly recommend.
