Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: El equipo formado por el matrimonio entre Michelle Karr-Ueoka y Wade Ueoka se curtió en cocinas con estrellas Michelin, desde Napa hasta Nueva York, antes de regresar a casa para abrir el que Eater considera uno de los restaurantes imprescindibles de Honolulu. El amplio segundo piso acoge un comedor grande y animado en el que saborear platos caseros hawaianos como los característicos sliders de kampachi con costra de mochi y carne wagyu, servidos en bollos mochi caseros. Reserva hueco para los galardonados postres de Karr-Ueoka, como su famoso granizado hawaiano de mango.

A limited number of self-park stalls are available on premise.
Public transit
Located on 2nd Floor in Velocity Honolulu Building. Use "Velocity Honolulu" or enter in "888 Kapiolani Blvd" as destination location for Uber or Lyft. DO NOT enter MW Restaurant in Uber or Lyft, because we have been having issues with guests being dropped at our old location. Drop off and entrance to the restaurant and valet parking is from Kapiolani Blvd make a right at the Mercedes Benz sign and go straight down to the end of the lane and then turn up the ramp. Parking on the ground level in the MW Valet only stall is prohibited and subject to be towed away at the owner expense.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been at MW. I’m happy to say that it’s back on my rotation. The food was flavorful and creative. Locally sourced produce is always a good thing as well. Great service. The drinks were solid as well! Great job MW!

The service at MW was really nice and energetic. The food was delicious but I would have appreciated a little larger portion sizes. My friends had the shortribs, duck and miso butterfish and I had the wagyu sliders - again all were delicious but needed to have just a little more to feel full. . . The persimmon shaved ice was MY FAVORITE!!! I would go back just for that! It was so refreshing! Our server was really friendly but the lady who brought out our food not so much. It was a nice restaurant and I would definitely go back but maybe need to order more appetizers:)

I had the tasting menu along with the wine pairing. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. The Mochi Crusted Hawaiian Kanpachi was my favorite. My only challenge was figuring out how to enter the restaurant as it’s on the 2nd floor of a car dealership.

As usual, the meal was fantastic. The food at MW is just outstanding, and the service was very good. Our server knew his menu well and was able to make very good and appropriate recommendations for our meal. Thank you!

It’s been our go-to favorite restaurant whenever we come to Oahu. We started going when they had their original spot behind Ala Moana Center. Thanks again for a wonderful dinner!
