Family of 7 dined at Mr Hizola’s from 5pm 19th Jan 2025 for sons birthday. 3 of us ordered the main beef meal with rice. The beef meals came out before the entrees but no rice. I asked the waiter when the rice was coming, he replied they were cleaning the bowls. 10 minutes had passed and still no rice; Again I asked why we still hadn’t received our rice bowls, the same answer. I asked how long does it take to clean a few bowls? 15 minute wait for the plain rice to go with our main meal ☹️ Then came the entrees but still waiting on 2 mains. After 30 minutes I asked the waiter why the 2 meals still hadn’t come as yet but received no response. After checking the ordering screen he came and advised my daughter that the order hadn’t gone to the kitchen so they resent it (think he stuffed up on the order). Received no apology ! When we placed our order there were only 2 other diners in the restaurant. How our orders were misplaced I do not know. Our male waiter made no effort to correct his mistake and was unapologetic. Never going back!!!

The food was okay but the service was terrible. We ate on a Saturday night, it was quiet (not all tables taken), our entree order was taken early & the first came out but we were given no cutlery. We asked the waitress & 10 minutes later we still didn’t have cutlery. We went up to the counter and asked again & they said they would bring it out right away. Another 5 minutes passed & our second entree came out (the first was now cold). We asked the waitress for cutlery again & she rolled her eyes & then brought us some. We tried to flag down staff for 15 minutes to order our mains and almost left the restaurant without ordering as we were just over it by this point. This wasn’t a very enjoyable dinner.

The Chinese fusion food though not authentic, was very creative and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Great service, beautiful cocktails, amazing food! The sizzling steak is a must. Absolutely superb. The only negative was the flies buzzing around but not much to be done about that when you’re by the windows.

Everything we tried on the menu was amazing. All the flavours were great. Nothing was too overdone cannot fault the food or the Service at all. The major downside was it was really hot in the back of the restaurant. Everybody in the tables around us was literally streaming with sweat. By the time we’ve had dinner, we were all soaked. The top half of my Business shirt was wet. And the people on the table next to us had sweat streaming down the back visibly very sweaty. Such a shame given the fact that the venue is a really beautiful. Even just some fans to move the air around would’ve been a massive difference. We did ask the waitress if if there was another seating option to sit anywhere else as the rest of the restaurant was quite a bit cooler when we walked in. The waitress told us it was the same temperature throughout the restaurant. So we didn’t bother to argue but it was clearly a lot cooler everywhere else at the corner.

dined here for my birthday and ordered the banquet. started out good, service was good until we saw our waitress leave. Downhill from there where we ended up having to find out why the rest of our food hadn't come. In all fairness, we did get a couple of drinks for free as compensation. Shame because the food was good!
